“AND HANNAH REJOICED”

Post date: Sep 5, 2013 4:00:45 AM

Prayer that God will answer begins with a conviction that God will answer and an expectation that is quite contrary to what you are seeing and experiencing presently. A prayer that begins with this is bound to end with a voice of rejoicing and a thanksgiving celebration. There are no words in any language to fully describe the acts of God, the ways of God and His blessing to all who will every trust in Him to the end, to those who will pray sincerely with their whole heart, and trust in His answer, patiently wait and rely on Him till the very end. Hannah asked for one, but God gave her seven. That is what God can do and He will do it for you as we pray. “And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she bore three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord” 1 Samuel 2:21. This is besides the first visit that brought forth Samuel.

When God answered Hannah’s first prayer, she did not run away in joy and celebration, she went back to the same place she offered the prayer and prayed another one and in answering, God in His unusual way and love, gave her an amazing turn around, an everlasting rejoicing voice, more children, and established her through the activities of Samuel. She who was mocked at, who was frustrated, who was with no child, now becomes a mother of just one child, but seven children. What a mighty God we serve; the only one who loved us without reservation, who blesses us beyond our words in asking, who always thinks and plans good things ahead for us, the one who lifted Hannah from the dust and gave her a joy that is unstoppable. That is you God.

The answer to Hannah’s prayers exceeded her expectations and the expectations of everyone who knew and saw her before. That is what God can do, will do and that is exactly what I am asking the Lord for you as we dedicate this month of September to pray.

When you walk with God and absolute trust and depend on Him, you will only know your beginning but will never know your ending because greater and better things that are far beyond your expectations are waiting for you at the other side. This is because God will always take you beyond your dreams, beyond your visions, beyond your expectations and far beyond your preparation. God open Hannah’s filled Hannah’s mouth and heart with His joy, took away her shame, silenced the mouths of the enemies and short up the evil words against her. God did not fight her enemies, He answered her prayers and her enemies short up permanently.

These were the words of the expressions of the joy in Hannah’s heart: “Hannah prayed, and said, My heart exults and triumphs in the Lord; my horn, my strength is lifted up in the Lord. My mouth is no longer silent, for it is opened wide over my enemies, because I rejoice in Your salvation. There is none holy like the Lord, there is none besides You; there is no Rock like our God. Talk no more so very proudly; let not arrogance go forth from your mouth, for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed. The bows of the mighty are broken, and those who stumbled are girded with strength. Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, but those who were hungry have ceased to hunger. The barren has borne seven, but she who has many children languishes and is forlorn. The Lord slays and makes alive; He brings down to Sheol and raises up. The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and He lifts up. He raises up the poor out of the dust and lifts up the needy from the ash heap, to make them sit with nobles and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and He has set the world upon them. He will guard the feet of His godly ones, but the wicked shall be silenced and perish in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail. The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; against them will He thunder in heaven. The Lord will judge all peoples to the ends of the earth; and He will give strength to His king and exalt the power of His anointed. Elkanah and his wife Hannah returned to Ramah to his house. But the child ministered to the Lord before Eli the priest.” 1 Samuel 2:1-11. Yours will come. For Prayer Click here
