WHY DID HANNAH PRAY?

After years of marriage, Hannah became bitter with herself and the situation she found herself, after years of expectations that failed in her marriage, after years of watching of unhealthy and discouraging events in her life, she found out that things were not going the way she thought it should; after years of unwanted insults and unmerited humiliations by the rival and others around her, and after years of hidden bitter thoughts in her heart and after years of just waiting and also watching events in her life and the lives of others around her, Hannah realized she had lost her joy in life because of closed doors with regards to having what she wanted and desired – that is one of the effects of being under or struggling under closed doors; Hannah realized she had lost her pride as a young married lady – that is another effect of closed doors despite education and qualifications and having opportunities; Hannah realized she could not stand up to her enemies privately or publicly because of pride in their physical achievements – Hannah lost her pride, lost her voice to speak due to shame of not being able to have a child – that is also another effect of closed doors. Her husband found out he was unable to comfort her with gift or anything – that is another effect of closed doors – nothing is of interest to you.

Hannah suffered loneliness, fear, and separation, but despite what went on in Hannah’s life, she remembered one thing else to do, take her situation to God in prayers. Hannah went into prayer because she had a desire, Hannah prayed because she saw closed doors in her life and marriage. Hannah prayed because that was the only means available to her to get her desires fulfilled, and Hannah prayed because she trusted in God’s ability. Hannah prayed because she knew what men cannot do, God can do, and Hannah prayed because she knew God can take her humiliations and shame away and God will open the closed doors in her life. When you pray, please pray with great expectations and never give up that expectation irrespective of what you see thereafter and what people may say to you. Hannah never knew the Almighty God was still watching over her and waiting for that moment of commitment in her life, God was still prepared to change her situation, God was willing to give her children, and God was ready to give her grace to conceive and have children. Did you know despite your past failures, fears, feelings, and disappointments in life, God is still prepared, still willing, still waiting, and still able to open closed doors in your life and give you a chance despite all of your disappointments, loneliness, and shame? He is still able to give you a restoration if that will glorify His name and bring you to the place and position of testifying to His glory. He is able to give you open doors despite the past and the present. What God did with Hannah was amazing, it was life-changing for her, and it showed the power of God working actively beyond the understanding and imaginations of men.

When Hannah saw there was nothing else she could do to change her situation, Hannah decided to take all that she heard from her rival and others concerning her childlessness to God, she took all that she went through emotionally and mentally and physically to prayers, and she took all her feelings to God in open prayers. She believed God will change her situation, she believed that God will grant her request, she believed that she could still have a child, and she believed and trust God will do it for her. It should be noted by all Christians that a single effective prayer from you according to God’s will for your life in any situation is capable of opening doors of miracles in your life and keep it open thereafter for greater testimonies. It was just one sincere, open and effective prayer from Hannah according to God’s will for her life that open the closed door for her to begin experiencing the amazing testimonies of miracles in her life and that single prayer kept the door open beyond her expectations for many more things to follow. What are all your concerns, what are your expectations, and what is your prayer? God waited until Hannah prayed and made a commitment before opening her closed door. For prayers, Click here
