“Balaam said to Balak, stay here beside your offering while I meet with him over there. The Lord met with Balaam and put a word in his mouth and said, go back to Balak and give him this word. So he went to him and found him standing beside his offering, with the Moabite officials. Balak asked him, what did the Lord say? Then he spoke his message: Arise Balak, and listen, hear me, son of Zippor. God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill? I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot change it. No misfortune is seen in Jacob, no misery observed in Israel. The Lord their God is with them; the shout of the King is among them. God brought them out of Egypt; they have the strength of a wild ox. There is no divination against Jacob, no evil omens against Israel. It will now be said of Jacob and of Israel, See what God has done. The people rise like a lioness; they rouse themselves like a lion that does not rest until it devours its prey and drinks the blood of its victims. Then Balak said to Balaam, Neither curse them at all nor bless them at all. Balaam answered, did I not tell you I must do whatever the Lord says?” Numbers 29:15-26

The road was rough, the distance was much, so many troubles, temptations, needs, and fears on the way, but that did not deter God from taking the children of Israel to the place He had in His words promised to Abraham their ancestor. Israel experienced all forms of hindrances on their way, the saw the Red Sea, they saw the armies of Pharoah, the saw the killer snake, they saw the lack of water and food, they complained because of the challenges they experienced. They saw a prophet hired to place a spiritual curse and stop their forward journey and they saw Moses praying and standing in the gap for them. But despite all that they saw and experienced, God still took them to the land He promised. Despite what you will see and experience, know that it is very certain that God will take you to the place He had promised.

One of the greatest lessons that all followers and believers of Christ Jesus should know is that God is not in any way like human beings that He should lie, He is not a human being that He should change His mind concerning any issue. Does He speak on anything and not act? Does He promise and not fulfill? God will definitely act and He will do as He had promised. Balaam told Balak, he cannot reverse the plans or promises of God for Israel. Know that no enchantment, no prophet, no knowledge nor wisdom, no pains, no humiliation, no shame, no power, and no form of insult is and will be able to change the promises of God for you. Trust absolutely on Him, follow Him, call on Him, believe Him, and stay on obedience. He will do what He had said concerning you irrespective of the powers seeking to afflict you.

God had willed it, God had said it, God had planned it, and God will ensure it. It is very certain that you will attain to the high calling of God upon your life; you will attain to that position God had said concerning you, the present day and times and challenges will not stop or prevent you. With God, it is certain; with God, it is possible, and with God, it is attainable. You will reach that target, you will exceed that goal. The certainty of the word of God and His power to do what He had said not what we imagine or think in our thoughts or ask in our prayers cannot be questioned despite the passing of years, delays, difficulties, and despite all the afflictions and troubles. God will definitely do as He had planned for you and as he had promised you. One thing we should know is that our God is the creator of all things and He has the absolute power to do whatever He wants with all the things He created. He is not a man that always fails in strength, in words, and in thoughts due to circumstances in everything He creates or had created. Jesus Christ our Lord said these to His disciples, “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree. As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.” Matthew 24:32-35.
