WHO IS WITH ME OH LORD?

God had deliberately placed men and women on our path to perform certain functions every day. The devil does the same also. Some people are meant to pull you down, while some are meant to lift you up. Some will help and some will refuse to help, some will guide and some will refuse to provide guidance. But while walking with God every day, God will never leave when men pull you down; will never forsake you when they refuse to provide guidance, will never forget to help when men refuse to come in and help. The God I serve is able to provide every needed help to everyone who call on His name in truth irrespective of the situation.

Men may look down on you, but my God will never look down on you, besides, He specializes in lifting up those who had been forgotten, tormented and rejected by the society.

“When Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, he sent to the king, asking, Why have you rent your clothes? Let Naaman come now to me and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. So Naaman came with his horses and chariots and stopped at Elisha’s door. Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored and you shall be clean. But Naaman was angry and went away and said, Behold, I thought he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and wave his hand over the place and heal the leper. Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? May I not wash in them and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage. And his servants came near and said to him, My father, if the prophet had bid you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much rather, then, when he says to you, Wash and be clean? Then he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, as the man of God had said, and his flesh was restored like that of a little child, and he was clean. 2 Kings 5:8-14

Naaman was a successful man who was physically tormented by leprosy and spiritually hindered by pride. But God, in His continuous love for all mankind, made him to acknowledge he was sick and needed help, and the sickness was hindering him from rejoicing in his success, but he refused to acknowledge that he was very proud. To take out the torment of the sickness, God placed three individuals on his path.

The first person on his path was the King of Israel. He refused to help Naaman and rejected him in his sickness and at the point of his need. The bible said, the King rent his clothes and lamented his inability. Have you ever met any one like that, who is able but refused.? Don’t give up yet.

The second person was Elisha who offered his acceptance when he heard that this man had been rejected by the king. He asked him to come over to his house. On hearing your rejection by men, God is offering you a free unrestricted acceptance despite what men had done to you.

Then the pride of success showed up immediately to discourage Naaman and to speak to him. Asking him to refuse the free offer of God and to accept his fate to continue living with his shame. Whatever the devil had placed on your path to hinder, to confuse in order to keep you in perpetual anger, and rejection by men should be rejected.

The third person was insignificant in the life and eyes of Naaman, but her little word was all that was needed at that time to overcome the effect of pride at the point of success and the shameful sickness. This little girl was a maid and insignificant to Naaman, but her word of courage was strong enough to help Naaman receive his desired healing and the fullness of the joy of success.

We are here like that little girl in the life of Naaman, to encourage you, urging you never to accept the failures of life and rejection of men as a sign that God had rejected and refused you. God brought this girl to help Naaman find what he was looking for. As Naaman received healing after accepting the little girl's counsel, you will also receive your desires if you will only obey and do what God is saying to you right now.
