THE FIFTEEN EVIL WEAPONS OF GOLIATH

Post date: Feb 27, 2020 12:35:27 AM

Goliath was physically prepared and empowered by Satan for that battle but he failed to accomplish his intended victory and fell in the hands of a boy anointed by God for something bigger than eyes could see. These were the weapons of Goliath. (1.) Bronze helmet - to protect his head against any object, but the helmet failed when the stone of David came after his head. The things that protect your enemies head will fail them (2) Bronze coat of nail - to protect his body from injury in the battle, but it fails when David used his sword to cut off his head after he fell. (3) Bronze leg armor – to protect his legs from being hurt or injured. (4) Bronze javelin – used to bring down distant enemies, that also failed. (5) Spear – used to destroy enemies that were close by. (6) Iron spearhead – used to ensure maximum destruction, injury, or even death is accomplished. (7) Armor bearer agents used for immediate assistance, for re-enforcement, errant and informant. (8) Intimidation – used to scare and cause fear in the hearts and minds of the opponent. (9) Hatred – to express and show intent. (10) Anger – to express the seriousness of evil intent and hatred (11) Boasting – to express their power, their previous successes in evil activities and accomplishment. (12) Height – over nine feet tall, that is frightening size, and (13) Curses – to cast a spell of fear, to tell you who and what you will be after, and to show you what you will become after. (14) Evil knowledge, and (15) Evil power.

Beside the ones mentioned above, what other weapons are being used against you today? Are they money, wealth, position, office, extra-spiritual abilities, connections at the top, diabolical powers and influences from the dark world, or something beyond your knowledge and understanding? Goliath had them all and used all of them against David and they did fail. I am certain also that whatever is used against you will fail. Do not be afraid, their weapons against you will perish with them. You will never know what is in you, who is in you, who is with you, and who is for you unless you are faced with a situation that is bigger than you and stands up and comes out to confront them. We are told that greater is He that is in and with us than they or anything one or thing else in the world. Did you know the same weapons Goliath used against David is what our enemies are using against us today in different ways? Goliath, the champion of the Philistines came out prepared to fight against the entire armies of Israel, and while the armies of Israel were restrained by fear, David came out to meet him, and Goliath ended up fighting David instead. Goliath was defeated by an untrained boy who was spiritually prepared for any battle by the Lord God Almighty for and in any and in every situation. David was scheduled to have victory irrespective of the weapons that Goliath was going to use against him.

“Then Goliath, a Philistine champion from Gath, came out of the Philistine ranks to face the forces of Israel. He was over nine feet tall. He wore a bronze helmet, and his bronze coat of nail weighed 125 pounds. He also wore bronze leg armor, and he carried a bronze javelin on his shoulder. The shaft of his spear was as heavy and thick as a weaver’s beam, tipped with an iron spearhead that weighed 15 pounds. His armor bearer walked ahead of him carrying a shield. Goliath stood and shouted a taunt across to the Israelites. Why are you all coming out to fight? he called. I am the Philistine champion, but you are only the servants of Saul. Choose one man to come down here and fight me. If he kills me, then we will be your slaves. But if I kill him, you will be our slaves. I defy the armies of Israel today, send me a man who will fight me. When Saul and the Israelites heard this, they were terrified and deeply shaken. Goliath walked out toward David with his shield-bearer ahead of him, sneering in contempt at this ruddy-faced boy. Am I a dog, he roared at David, that you come at me with a stick? And he cursed David by the names of his gods. Come over here, and I’ll give your flesh to the birds and wild animals, Goliath yelled.” 1 Samuel 17:4-11; 41-44. For prayers, Click here
