"GOD’S CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR YOU THIS SEVENTH MONTH (II)"

Post date: Jul 5, 2017 3:50:05 AM

Be courageous, that was the message on the seventh month to Zerubbabel who was the governor of Judah but very discouraged, to Joshua who was the high priest in Judah also very discouraged, and to the remnant of God’s people in the land of Judah as discouraged as their leaders because of delays and suffering despite their faith and trust in Him for help and completion of the projects they were having. In their thoughts, things were not getting along, much delays and the dates of completions of what they had started was very uncertain; money was not coming in as expected, work had stopped, fear had taken over their hearts and their strength had weakened. Though they still trusted God for the unexpected and prayed for a miracle, their faith and expectations were wearing out fast. How many of us are in this state today? This month, there shall be a shaking from heaven for you, a shaking that will help you and a shaking that will encourage and favor you.

God thereafter gave these people needed grace to have hope to do what was needed for them to do and He also granted them the favor to complete the project which they had been abandoned. God is calling your hope back today as He did with these people, He is the God of love who helps all of His children and he will help you; He is the God who gives the grace to begin and to complete projects. He said to them “does anyone remember this house (project) in its former splendor? How, in comparison, does it look to you now? It must seem like nothing at all”. The former was beautiful but abandoned but the new shall be greater and better. God told Zerubbabel, Joshua and the people to be strong because He was about to enable them beyond fears and uncertainties; He was about to engage them in the work to restore and complete what was abandoned on time. He assured them of His presence in the work and the presence of His Spirit to guide them through as it was when they left Egypt as slaves. The presence of God and His Spirit with you or anyone else is enough to down any form of fear from any quarter, all amounts of doubts from the words and works of men, and any previous knowledge of uncertainty still keeping you captive in your hearts and in your thoughts irrespective of what they devil had done previously. God told them not to be afraid because just a little while He will shake the heavens and the earth, the oceans and the dry land to fulfill His purpose in their lives. He also promised to shake the nations and the treasures of the nations for the restoration of what was destroyed and abandoned. He said He will fill the place with glory, the silver, and the gold are His, and the future glory of the temple which was abandoned will be greater and better than its past, and in this place, He will bring peace. That is the word and promises of God which will not be faulted or halted; be strong, be courageous.

“On the twenty-first day of the seventh month the second year of Darius king of Persia, the word of the Lord came by the prophet Haggai, saying, Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying, who is left among you who saw this house in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem to you like nothing in comparison? But now be courageous, Zerubbabel, declares the Lord, be courageous also, Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and be courageous, all you people of the land, declares the Lord, and work; for I am with you, declares the Lord of hosts. As for the promise which I made with you when you came out of Egypt, My Spirit stands firm and immovable and continues with you; do not fear. For thus says the Lord of hosts, Once more, in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all the nations, and they will come with the desirable and precious things of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory and splendor, says the Lord of hosts. The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine, declares the Lord of hosts. The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts, and in this place, I shall give the ultimate peace and prosperity, declares the Lord of hosts.” Haggai 2:1-9.
