LOR,D WHAT SHOULD I REMEMBER?

Before anything becomes big, out of control and poses problem in our lives, they first show up as a little insignificant issue in our eyes and thoughts only for us to realize its magnitude late. It takes a little spark, a little fire and a little building up of smoke to bring a destructive big fire. There are many people today who have identified the big problems in their lives and are quite ready to fight them while still allowing the little sparks of fire to continue unattended. Those small frequent and often small sparks we call insignificant and assumed will not cause any serious harm are as important and very destructive as the ones we call big. It takes the little foxes to spoil the entire vine that we have labored so hard to build and nurture over the years when given the chance to remain a little longer than necessary.

Life is full of memories, some good and some bad, but what we retain or forget is our decision and choice. No good or bad memory will force itself on us indefinitely, it is what we allows that stays and they either aid us to be more hopeful and productive or aid us to degenerate into bitterness, anger and continuous regrets. God has something better for us, something to always joyfully remember and always to remember. We must take a decisive action to identify what to remember and keep, and what to forget and take out of our ways, hearts and minds. If there are things to remember in life, certainly, there must also be things to forget and let go forever so we can focus on better things ahead for us each day and each year.

While it is hard for some people to forget certain things in life, it is better to understand that bad memories affect our thinking and ways of life negatively. Such bad memories even affect our relationship with God, family and the society at large. It is far better for us to discard such memories than to keep them. God wants us to do that, the churches of the living God want you to do that and I also want you to do that. This is the scripture for you:

“This is what the Lord says, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sakes I will send an army against Babylon, forcing the Babylonians to flee in those ships they are so proud of. I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator and King. I am the Lord, who opened a way through the waters, making a dry path through the sea. I called forth the mighty army of Egypt with all its chariots and horses. I drew them beneath the waves, and they drowned, their lives snuffed out like a smoldering candlewick. But forget all that, it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun, Do you not see it?

I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. The wild animals in the fields will thank me, the jackals and owls, too, for giving them water in the desert.

Yes, I will make rivers in the dry wasteland so my chosen people can be refreshed. I have made Israel for myself, and they will someday honor me before the whole world” Isaiah 43:14-21

Learn to begin forgetting the past limitations, fears, disappointments, denials, angers, failures, and hindrances. Do not allow bad memories to cloud your vision and prayers for good thing to come, because they will surely come if Christ tarries. God will not allow you to remain in pains and anger forever. God will not allow you to remain a victim of evil circumstances forever. Be ready to see, experience and enjoy God’s amazing love, mercy and faithfulness in the year to come. Strive and learn to always remember God’s love, His grace upon your life, His promises for you, His ability and His willingness to help and to bless you. Remember His past blessings to others, remember those little steps of faith you have been taking. Remember that God will never fail you irrespective of the toughness of the situation. Remember that He will make away for you. Remember that His spirit is in you and is for you for good. Remember that only goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life. Your very best is only in Him and it is yet to come. Pray and retain only good memories about yourself.  Join in this expectation Click here
