DISAPPOINTED BY TRUST

One way or the other, you will definitely experience some disappointments in life but when you have an unshaken trust in Jesus Christ as your only Lord and savior, you will be unstoppable in your desires by those disappointments irrespective of the number of times that will happen and their level of severity. God in His love and mercy will never allow people to run you down and will never allow people to keep you down forever. Any disappointments you will receive from people are never a sign that God had rejected you or that He is not interested in your wellbeing in that particular situation now and in the future. Though not desirable, not prayed for and always annoying, disappointment is in human nature except there is a spiritual regeneration that helps to overcome such many people cannot run away from it completely.

We should know that it is never in the nature of your loving Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to disappoint you in anything, in every situation and in any location. By God’s enabling grace, one thing I know and I am very convinced about is that, no disappointment of any kind, from any man in any place and in any location irrespective of his or her level of authority over your life will be able to stop the plans, purpose and will of God for your life from being fulfilled. The several activities of Lot and his servants did not stop Abraham from being fulfilled the way God had originally promised him. King Saul with all his armies and power was unable to stop David from sitting on the throne.

The Holy Scripture preparing us for what will come sometimes assures us that: “It is impossible that no offence will come, but woe to him through whom they do come. It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves, if your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day he returns to you, saying, I repent, you shall forgive him” Luke 17:1-4. That is Jesus Christ advice when we are disappointed by people we trust in any way. We are asked to forgive, but God had pronounced His judgment.

Note that you will definitely be disappointed by people in so many ways and in so many things, but you will never be disappointed in trusting God. It is good to always remember that when men disappoint you in any way and things that you have trusted to be true or will be true, God will always uphold you in those ways and things that men will use and do to disappoint you. Men will make you feel, think and cry badly; but that same thing that you cry and think about, God will not allow them to destroy you with their thoughts, plans and actions. Men will fail you but God will never fail you. Men will take that which is rightly yours, but God will restore them back to you.

Because of many disappointments your trust in people may be questionable and failing, but never allow your trust in God to be affected by what men will ever do to you. God will not judge you like men, He will treat you like men. He will never look down on you because of anything despite your outstanding weaknesses and foolishness. His regards and rewards for you now and in the future are not determined by the number of disappointments you have suffered in trusting people. Everyone had been disappointed, but God had never disappointed any man. Man had disappointed God in several ways but God had never disappointed man in any way. Remember even Adam and Eve who were the very first and last human beings to have the very best of this world in all thing than anyone else disappointed God. The Lord who keeps you will bless you despite the disappointments because your final trust is in Him alone.
