“The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly perverse and corrupt and severely, mortally sick. Who can know it [perceive, understand, be acquainted with his own heart and mind]? I the Lord search the mind; I try the heart, even to give to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.” For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. As one who reckons, he says to you, eat and drink, yet his heart is not with you [but is grudging the cost] Jeremiah 17:9-10, Proverbs 23:7. Whatsoever is said of the heart, God takes interest in it.

Though the heart is wicked according to Jeremiah, but it is the place that the Spirit of God seeks to dwell and work from. Despite the sweetness of your words, your physique and beauty, and the wealth you have, the state of your heart is truly who, and what you are, and it is where you want and wish and will eventually be. Yes, you can be successful despite the sights and the fears.

The first thing that God touches in man is the heart not the face or the eyes or the wallet, once the heart is transformed, there is nothing stopping that person from experiencing success in a remarkable way in all good and acceptable things that God had planned for such a person. Do not subject your success to what you see, but subject it to what the Lord places in your heart daily. It takes a transformed heart to change a corrupt, evil and fearful eye. The eye is quick to see, but it is the heart that evaluates, designs, approves, nurtures and empowers the brain who gives the strength to get it done adequately despite the seeming controversies from what the eye sees.

A truly believing, repentant, willing, submissive, and humbled heart is always a delight in the hands of our Lord and is a tool to reckon and depends on in our day of desires to fulfill the plans and purposes of God in our world. The power of God which brings any form of change resides in the heart not anywhere else in the body. We do not discern things appropriately with the eyes but with the heart. The eye sees fast but the heart meditates slowly to have proper understanding.

Following God and being successful and fruitful in life is with the heart, and you cannot fall even when the eyes could not see what lies ahead now or in the next day. The most effective way to follow God is with open and submissive heart and He will always hear your prayers

To have a life which is inspired and able to inspire others, our hearts have to be changed and alive; they have to be filled with the word of God, passion and enthusiasm. The richness and the usefulness of the heart determine the richness and usefulness of our lives, and experiences which lead to the success we desire in life. The heart considers things like what kind of future do I desire and need for myself? What kind of person am I trying to develop into with time? What do I want to accomplish and be remembered in my life? These are pictures that only the heart can really ponder on and expressed through corresponding actions. Whatever is in your heart is possible through God and this is the design of your future if you will only spend time, ignoring the pains and give it the nutrients it needs for nurturing into reality. The power of the heart enables us to actually reach God’s standard for our lives, it is a wonderful masterpiece fashioned in accordance with that same heavenly design of enabling grace.

When we change our heart, our whole being changes and this affects the world in which we live. Success starts with a strong determination of a transformed and godly submissive heart, while failure starts with a discouraged and un-submissive heart. God’s greatest treasure is planted in your heart, and not until God touches your heart, you cannot discover them, you cannot use them, and you will not be blessed by them. God said “Take from among you an offering to the Lord. Whoever is of a willing and generous heart, let him bring the Lord’s offering; gold, silver, and bronze” Exodus 35:5. Jeremiah concludes, “I the Lord search the heart, - to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.” The state of your heart defines your person and your level of success in life.
