IF GOD SAID IT, HE WILL DO IT

God has made me to laugh” That was an amazing statement of joy after a long period of waiting, trusting, testing, confusion, discouragement and temptation that came from Sarah, the wife of Abraham. God will never forget His words, His promises and His people. The darkness in the world in the hearts of men, the work of sin, and the pains of life cannot force God to forget His own. The thoughts and reasoning of men are too small to fully comprehend the things our God will do in our lives. Though they are small, we should never in anyway subject our God to our thoughts and imaginations; we should not underestimate our God and His ability, His goodness and His mercies, His love and willingness to fulfill all of His words and promises.

There is nothing that can hinder His promises from working in us when we trust and walk with Him. When He promise you, never doubt Him and never write yourself off because of your condition and the circumstances surrounding you. Leave the condition to him to deal with but strongly hold on to His promises without wavering and doubting.

Apostle Paul asked and wrote, “-- Has God totally rejected and disowned His people? Of course not; Why, I myself am an Israelite, a descendant of Abraham, a member of the tribe of Benjamin. No, God has not rejected and disowned His people whose destiny He had marked out and appointed and foreknown from the beginning.” Romans 11:1-2

While walking and living to see God’s promises fulfilled, we should always seek understanding on what to do next, learn to rely on Him always and patiently wait till He gives the next command. Always remember, If He said it, He will fulfill it. Paul writing to the Ephesians asked for the grace of comprehension with the saints, all that God has promised and said.

“That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” Ephesians 3:16-21

Sarah made the statement of laughter after waiting for about twenty five years for God to fulfill His promises. She was tempted, she was frustrated, she was disappointed, and she was discouraged, but at the end, she said “God had made me laugh”. What a joyful way to end a long story? What a joyful time to see God doing what He had promises?

“The Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for her as He had promised. For Sarah became pregnant and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time God had told him. Abraham named his son whom Sarah bore to him Isaac [laughter]. And Sarah said, God has made me to laugh; all who hear will laugh with me. And she said, Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children at the breast? For I have borne him a son in his old age” Genesis 21:1-3, 6-7

You might be sick, but God is able to heal you. You might be weak, but God is able to heal you. You might be lonely; but God is able to comfort you. You might be discouraged, but God is able to encourage you. You might be poor, but God is able to make you rick. You may be childless, but God is able to give you children. You may be in need of a spouse, but God is able to give you a spouse. Do not imagine your God, believe Him. The power of wrong imagination of self and God is more devastating than every kind of weakness and pains. Not until you write off yourself, God will make you laugh as He did to Sarah. If God said it, He will do it. For prayers and encouragement during difficult times, someone is here to pray with you. Click here
