There are many scary things around, scary dreams, scary actions of men, scary desires, scary thoughts, scary words, scary news, scary scenes at home, and scary feelings of the unexpected reactions in the situation, but all things, God says be faithful to me and I will take you through. None of them will hurt you, they will come and they will go, they will not leave a trace in you and they will take away that which I have given to you, because of My love for you, it is very certain that you will have overcome and you will rejoice.

Scary things and scary situations are designed to scare you, frighten you, discourage you, make you feel inadequate, unworthy, unacceptable, and many times it makes you feel lost in thoughts and in the directions to take. But in all scary situations, God will take you through, He will see you through, He will deliver you and He will defend you. Don’t be scared by what you see, trust God to His will; don’t be scared by what you hear, trust God to speak concerning them; and don’t be scared by what is happening, God is not absent, He will perform His plans and His will, irrespective of the circumstances. In all situations big or small, speak the word of God to that situation, speak the word of God into your life, speak the word of God to your health, speak the word of God to your finances, speak the word of God to your marriage, speak the word of God to your feelings, speak the word of God to your fears and endeavor to keep the word of God in your heart and meditate in them at all times and in all situations. Jesus Christ gave all His followers and all who believes in Him this assurance in Matthew 24:35 “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

The assurance is those scary situations, humiliations, shame, lack, delays, hunger, lack, rejection, fears, denials, and whatever the devil will bring will definitely pass away but the word of God will not pass away, they will be fulfilled, they will be established and you will see them. Prayer is all about speaking the word of God to your situations, asking God to fulfill His ways and plans and asking Him for direction and quick action. Prayer is trusting God for Who He is to you, Who He is in all things and who He is according to His words. Prayer is all about expressing our mind, our situations, our feelings, and our desires to God according to our understanding, and thereafter, prayer is living in the expectation that you have received His favor and His blessings to do what He had said, and in all situations, God will not fail, His word will not fail and His plans will be fulfilled.

When Elisha saw the famine in the land; when he saw the hunger and hardship in the lives of the people, he saw the high cost of living and feeding, saw the people’s complains and cries, Elisha did not seek to address them directly, but he spoke the word of God to their situation, addressing their concerns with the word of God before them, and God honored his words from the mouth of Elisha. I want you to know that God will honor His words as you speak them out. He will honor His words despite the challenges before you, He will honor His words despite the scary news that you have, and despite the past or current experiences in your life.

This is the assurance when you speak the word of God. “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed or hidden that will not be made known. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs. Then the men of the city said to Elisha, please notice, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees, but the water is bad, and the ground barren. And he said, bring me a new bowl, and put salt in it. So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the source of the water, and cast in the salt there, and said, thus says the Lord, I have healed this water, from it there shall be no more death or barrenness. So the water remains healed to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke.” Matthew 10:26-272; Kings 2:19-22. For prayers, Click here
