LIBERATED AND RENEWED

Because of consistent and unfavorable circumstances, many people have completely forgotten that they have a future ahead of them. These groups of people are actually held back by their failures of yesterday, not the fear of tomorrow, and they have to get pass it right now. You were never born to be a spectator on earth but to participate and contribute actively in the things that go on daily to the best of God’s ability in your life. You were liberated from the powers and rewards of the sinful nature through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ at the point of your sincere repentance. On that date, you received a spiritual and physical renewal to fulfill a divine mandate. That single act of grace separated you completely from all previous things that were contrary to God’s will and desires for your life, not by your strength but by the redemptive power of the blood of Jesus Christ. The purpose for the liberation and renewal can never be faulted and questioned by the devil or any man. Your renewal was paid for with the blood of Jesus Christ.

Living and actualizing the renewed lifestyle is a matter of your personal decision coupled great determination on your part. I want you to remember that the devil will never fold his arms and watch you succeed, but he can be continuously resisted and defeated at every attempt by your continuous act of faith in the name of Jesus Christ. Every decision that brings life and restores hope will be vehemently challenged by the devil in the lives of everyone. The devil does not want to you liberated, blessed and kept in the peace of Jesus Christ. He wants to see you wallowing continuously in your past with deep regrets, suicidal thoughts and behavior, and bitterness. He rejoices seeing you continuously living in the frustrations caused by your past mistakes, failures, sickness, bad personal or family member’s decisions and pains. The devil is cruel in all his works and will never be merciful to anyone.

The desire of God for you is to be liberated and renewed. If God had no intent to renew you He will not liberate you, if He will not turn you around and turn things around for you, He will not give you the hope for a new day. This is what you should say like Jeremiah in Lamentation 3:21-25 (GWT) “The reason I can still find hope is that I keep this one thing in mind; the Lord’s mercy. We were not completely wiped out. His compassion is never limited. It is new every morning. His faithfulness is great. My soul can say, the Lord is my lot in life. That is why I find hope in Him. The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to anyone who seeks help from Him.”

To live the liberated lifestyle, you have to decide not to allow the past mistakes, misfortune, abuse, denials, failures and losses to affect your thoughts and future aspirations. Never give up your hope in the liberating grace in Christ Jesus.

Three very important things to do after making the decision to resist the devil and change your thoughts are; (1) Begin dreaming about your future again and not your yesterday. This is done through your everyday desires. (2) Constantly communicate those desires to yourself every moment of the day and to everyone who might be listening to you. Refuse to communicate your past. No one is willing to talk your future for you, take hold of your future by constantly communicating it to yourself until you see them fulfilled. (3) Put your absolute trust in God’s ability every day rather on your ability or strength and the help of men.

When God steps in to liberates, He renews everything about you in the spiritual and in the physical, taking away the old and instituting the new. And the scripture declares “Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence. 2 Corinthians 5:17. (GWT)
