HOW MY FAITH WILL WORK IN 2015

Post date: Dec 3, 2014 5:00:00 AM

A genuine faith must have a foundation to stand on, and the best foundation to lay your faith is the everlasting word of God’s promises to you. Every other foundation is unpredictable, short-lived, and subject to all forms of natural, supernatural, environmental, and economic changes in the world. The word of God depends only on God and nothing else, and all Christians know that God does not and will never change, His spoken and written words does not change also. When your faith is absolutely fixed on Him and His words, irrespective of the prevailing circumstances, expect that faith to produce to a result. The devil cannot stop the word of God but he can seek to destroy our faith through many bad life experiences each day. But by God’s grace, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ had given us the victory already in all experiences of life.

Walking by and in faith will require our not allowing our sights to predict our expectations; not allowing our experiences to predict our actions; not allowing the words of men to be the reason for our believes; not allowing the actions of men to dampen our moral and joy in God’s presence, not allowing the ever changing seasons to be the focal point to our faith. Once you take your eyes away from the ordinary and place them on the words of God, on the scriptural promises for your life, those scriptural extraordinary promise will definitely begin happening, changing the circumstances around you and fulfilling all that had been promised by God. 2 Corinthians 5:7

That was what Abraham did when he heard the promises of God that beautiful day of his life; he did not subject those words to human doubts, judgment and scrutiny. He did not look at any of the obvious uncertainties that will follow him in believing and following the words that God had spoken to him in absolute obedience; he did not allow the wealth of his parents or the comfort of staying with relatives to hinder his acceptance and his actions; and the Holy scriptures concluded that Abraham believed God and it was counted for him as righteousness. His full acceptance was always followed immediately by a corresponding action, and he lived to see the result of acting according to the word of God. That was faith in action

Just as a genuine salvation has its source from accepting the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary, a genuine faith must have a source to refer to, and must have a clear purpose to fulfill; Abraham’s source of faith was the word of God and the purpose was to make him a great nation. “The Lord had said to Abram, leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation” Genesis 12:1-2. Let your source of faith be the word of God you heard and read; note, every word of God is to fulfill a purpose and every promise is targeted at blessing someone, sometime, and somewhere.

Let your faith have something tangible to hold on and targeted at the aim for that promise. Faith is not an aimless wishful thought, not an aimless daily struggle, and an aimless imagination of the possible; it is having an active thoughts, an active daily struggles, a true mental picture of God with you doing the impossible and confirming His words in your life. “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” Hebrews 12:6

Remember, faith is yours, not on others; you are the appointed channel through which faith will work through to affect your life and that of your family members; through your faith, you can receive healing and also heal the sick; through your faith, your spouse, children, finances, job, and environment can change for the best. Through your faith, God can change that situation, and through your faith God will confirm His words. Remember, it was Abraham’s faith that brought the fulfilment of the word of God. It was Noah faith that saved him and his entire family from the flood. It is time to let your faith work in 2015 by the actions you take from now on. For prayers, Click here
