YOU MUST REFUSE TO BE A VICTIM

Post date: Feb 10, 2014 4:59:53 AM

You should not be a victim of any man’s mistakes and wickedness, and you should never be a victim of your own, your parents and your ancestral family past mistakes. Through the grace in Christ Jesus which resulted in the confession of your sin and the forgiveness of all of your past sins and mistakes, and your subsequent deliverance from all forms of past evil, can say with confidence that today, you are completely immune from being a victim of any system that does not glorify God in your life. Your past has no power of over you now, the mistakes and wickedness of others has no power to hold you back and make you a continuous victim of its consequences.

Refusing to be a victim requires knowledge of what you are in Christ Jesus, what He did for you on the cross that guarantees your salvation, what it takes to be a child of the living God, and what freedom in Christ means. If you consistently refuse taking a decisive decision to overcome your past, you will remain a victim of its negative effect the rest of your life, which is never God’s will, plans and purpose for your life from now on.

You may have been wondering what had kept you behind in almost all things all these past years despite all the knowledge you have acquired, despite all the beautiful gift of God inside of you, despite all the extraordinary abilities in doing and organizing things, despite all the years spent in receiving the best targeted training from the best mentors in your particular field of interest, and despite the extraordinary exposures you have received from parents, friends, employers and after all the years spent in prayers and fasting. You should know that no one is holding you as a victim of your past but your own thoughts and actions and you will have to change them.

Everyone had made several mistakes in the past, but not everyone is living in that past mistake despite its gravity, not everyone is a victim of their past, and not everyone is held captive by its consequence. What you know and have been trained for in life are good and acceptable, but if you refuse to renew your thoughts concerning yourself now and in the future, if you refuse to make good use of your renewed thoughts by purging it of the evil imaginations of your past, purging it from that which is wrong despite their previous effects on you, you will remain a victim of that past despite your Christianity and your efforts in forging ahead in life.

You may have been wondering what had been responsible for the hindrances in realizing your God given dreams; your clear visions; you prioritized desires and your godly aspirations. You may have been looking at ways to free yourself from your past and fully embrace your future in Christ Jesus. You may have seen your past standing against your future and standing on the way to prevent and resist your efforts in moving forward, Let me say this to you, you are only a victim because you think so, not because God wants you to remain a victim. God said you are free without any reservation and you should claim that freedom wholeheartedly.

You are not, and should not be defined by your past, you should and must be defined by your future in Christ Jesus. Whatever that had happened to you before are past and you should never be held captive by any again. You may have been abused as a child or adult, judged wrongly by friends and foes, denied your basic rights and hindered by adversities, but you have to decide not to be a victim of that past by deciding right now to embrace your future with renewed grace from your loving Father in heaven. Apostle Paul wrote:

“This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” 1 Timothy 1:15-16; Ephesian 2:8-9. God said you are free from your past and never to be a victim of it again and it must be so. For prayers, Click here
