"AND GOD WENT TO WAR (2)"

Post date: Aug 14, 2018 3:49:14 AM

Before the plagues began in Egypt, God sent Moses with His word and a demand for peaceful release of all the children of Israel within the borders of Egypt, but Pharaoh refused each time Moses demanded for his acceptance, thereafter, God sent ten destructive plagues to Egypt to warn and show Pharaoh His seriousness in the demand and for him to change his mind and to change his decision to refuse the request. Pharaoh thought he was in absolute control of the destiny of the children of Israel and believed he has the power to decide what happens to them and what will be of them, he never knew God was still with them; the Almighty God was still their God even in their humility and captivity and that the Almighty God will still show mercy to and His loving kindness to them. When the enemies think they are in control of your life and destiny and think they have you absolutely in their control for evil and for their wickedness, God will show up if they refuse the request from God concerning you; He will do what He wants to do and will show Himself strong and mighty. That was what happened in Egypt and Pharaoh became a spectator to what God was doing in his country

“Pharaoh’s heart, however, remained hard. He still refused to listen, just as the Lord had predicted. Then the Lord said to Moses, Pharaoh’s heart is stubborn, and he still refuses to let the people go. So go to Pharaoh in the morning as he goes down to the river. Stand on the bank of the Nile and meet him there. Be sure to take along the staff that turned into a snake. Then announce to him, the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to tell you, let my people go, so they can worship me in the wilderness. Until now, you have refused to listen to him. So this is what the Lord says: I will show you that I am the Lord. Look I will strike the water of the Nile with this staff in my hand, and the river will turn to blood. The fish in it will die, and the river will stink. The Egyptians will not be able to drink any water from the Nile.” Exodus 7:13-18

These were the ten plagues from God given as a warning before the actual war began Exodus 7:14-11:10

The Plague of Blood: This is what the Lord says, by this, you will know that I am the Lord: With the staff that is in my hand I will strike the water of the Nile, and it will be changed into blood. The fish in the Nile will die, and the river will stink; the Egyptians will not be able to drink its water.

The Plague of Frogs; Seven days passed after the Lord struck the Nile. Then the Lord said to Moses, go to Pharaoh and say to him, this is what the Lord says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me. If you refuse to let them go, I will send a plague of frogs on your whole country. The Nile will teem with frogs. They will come up into your palace and your bedroom and onto your bed, into the houses of your officials and on your people, and into your ovens and kneading troughs. The frogs will come upon you and your people and all your officials.

The Plague of Gnats: Then the Lord said to Moses, tell Aaron, stretch out your staff and strike the dust of the ground, and throughout the land of Egypt the dust will become gnats.

The Plague of Flies: Then the Lord said to Moses, get up early in the morning and confront Pharaoh as he goes to the river and say to him, this is what the Lord says: let my people go, so that they may worship me. If you do not let my people go, I will send swarms of flies on you and your officials, on your people and into your houses. The houses of the Egyptians will be full of flies; even the ground will be covered with them. TO BE CONTINUED
