“I HAVE FOUND A MAN, GOD SAID TO SAMUEL”

“But now your kingdom shall not endure. The Lord has sought out for Himself a man, David after His own heart, and the Lord has appointed him as leader and ruler over His people, because you have not kept, obeyed what the Lord commanded you. And when He had removed him, He raised up David to be their king: of him He testified and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, conforming to My will and purposes, who will do all My will.” 1 Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22. We can ask when and where and how did God see David? What did God see in him and what did David do to attract such a divine attention? God is watching every one of us for a purpose and for a reason every moment of the day. He is watching to give us a reward and a commendation; He is watching to correct and to deliver and to sustain us and He is watching to keep us relevant and useful to Him and to ourselves in His name; He is watching to keep us from falling into temptation and into the hands of the devil. Know that God is watching you wherever you are and in whatever you say and do.

God did not ask Samuel to go look for a man for Him, God found the man Himself and gave His instructions thereafter to Samuel, instruct that Samuel could not resist despite his fears and what he knew might happen to him. Did you know God will not pass you by if He finds something that excites Him in you? Did you know men would not be able to resist when God gives out His instructions concerning you? Did you know that irrespective of the fears, their religion, and social affiliations, their names and wealth, they would never refuse when God gives His instructions to them concerning you? Samuel knew that Saul would seek to kill him if he anoints another person as the king but he could not resist the voice of God. It was all because of David that God issued the instruction to Samuel despite the risk involved. Did you know God will not pass you by if He sees something unique in your actions consistently?

God has good reasons to bless you and good reasons to keep, defend, sustain and promote you; He has good reasons to reveal Himself to you and to tell or show you things that are hidden from others around the world; He has good reasons to set you free from bondage and wickedness of men; He has good reasons to heal and give you good health; He has good reasons to rescue you from any damaging plots of the wicked; He has every good reason to restore you and to give you all the victory you have been asking for, but when He sees you, do you deserve those things you request from Him? Without reasons that will gladden your heart and exalt His name through you, God will not do anything, and He will not withhold anything from you at right season and time. God will not ignore any good deeds and He will not hold back the blessings of your good deeds to Him in any way. We read in Proverbs 16:7 and in Ecclesiastes 3:1 “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him;.” and “There is a season, a time appointed for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven.” God is faithful enough to reward you in greater measures as He did with David.

It was because of the future, not the past that God gave Samuel that order concerning David; his past was rejection and shame; his past was a life of loneliness in the forest with the sheep and nothing else; his past was hopelessness; his past was no recognition and no celebration; his past was no reward and no human compassion. By his past, he was scheduled to be a none achiever despite his strength and gift from God and ability in music and composition, but God turned his past around; God told Samuel clearly, I have found a man that cannot be ignored again; I have found a man that must be recognized and celebrated; I have found a man to institute My plans; I have found a man who will listen, who will follow, who will communicate and who will stand up for My words and my desire. I have searched his heart, I have watched him and I have approved him as my own and the next king over my people Israel. For Prayers, Click here
