CHRIST EXPECTATION OF CHRISTMAS

Post date: Dec 24, 2015 10:57:12 PM

Our Lord Jesus Christ knew beforehand that He was not coming to a perfect world with perfect people doing perfect things; He knew He was coming to an imperfect people in an imperfect world doing hostile and imperfect things; He knew He was going to meet a very knowledgeable world and knowledgeable people who lack the knowledge of the true God and the power to do what God had divinely ordained when He made the world. He knew he was coming to a place that had been destroyed by the knowledge and wisdom of men; a place that the devil had taken dominion in, planted and his nurtured his seeds to do wickedness continually, a place that godly virtues and godly people are not welcomed and not given the chance to express themselves and are never accepted. He knew the world will not accept Him and will not desire to follow His teaching. He knew He was coming to be persecuted, abused, accused, rejected and killed; and He knew He will be resisted and above all, He knew He was coming to succeed and not to fail

He knew and accepted all that He came all that He came for because He trust His Father and also knew His Father who sent Him will enable Him to do all that was divinely assigned to do; will back Him up every of His steps and words and actions, will be with Him throughout the mission. Jesus Christ did not expected a perfect people, a perfect world and a perfect order of things but He was determined to succeed and be outstanding, showing the world the way, giving them the means to aim at doing perfect and acceptable things before His Father in heaven. He came into the world because the Father sent Him as a propitiation (atonement) for our sins; He came because the Father appointed gave Him the Savior of the world. The Father sent Him to bless us by forgiving and turning us away from all our iniquities. The Father sent Him to redeem us from the curses of the law and remove the limitation placed on us by the law. The Father sent Him to make possible a new power and desire in the hearts of men, which will enable men to fulfil all the righteousness of the law through Him.

Christ expectation for coming into the world was never to do His own will; but that of the Father alone and He did succeed in doing just that. These were His expectations and duties: He came into the world to seek and save the lost; came into the world to save sinners; came into the world to call sinners to repentance: came into the world to demonstrate the true purpose of life and give Himself a ransom: came into the world to bear witness to the truth: came into the world to do the Will of His Father: came into the world to be a Light in the world: came into the world that men might have the Abundant Life: came into the world to Proclaim or preach the Good News about the Kingdom of God: came into the world to die on the cross: came into the world as a demonstration of God's Love:

“I am the true Vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch that continues to bear fruit, He prunes so that it will bear more fruit even richer and finer fruit. You are clean because of the word which I have given you. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. Just as no branch can bear fruit by itself without remaining in the vine; neither can you bear fruit, producing evidence of your faith unless you remain in Me. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart, ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified and honored by this, when you bear much fruit, and prove yourselves to be My true disciples. I have loved you just as the Father has loved Me; remain in My love and do not doubt My love for you.  If you keep My commandments and obey My teaching, you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. I have told you these things so that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy may be made full and complete and overflowing.” John 15:1-11. For Prayers Click here
