OUTSTANDING GRACE

Post date: Oct 31, 2012 4:04:52 AM

“For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]” Ephesians 2:8-9

It is only through grace and the word of God that humanity can be saved from sin and from all human catastrophes, only in the word of God lays true hope and trust in everything. Without grace, life is a big chance and risk. The bible teaches Christians to be obedient to civil authorities as well as to divine authority, but they are not ruled by the words and opinions of men, but every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Irrespective of world opinion, the thoughts and strength of men, the expanded human knowledge, and beyond any form of doubt, there is what is called the saving grace that comes from God alone, I strongly believe its existence.

Looking at what we have gone throne in life, what we have seen, heard and experienced, various humiliations, sicknesses, rejections and the everyday man-made calamities, there is no better reason to give for being alive than to say it is by God’s grace. No man can rightly claim strength and knowledge as reasons for being alive and for that; we owe God our sincere thanks.

I have strong hope in the working of grace in every situation that involves all human beings. By Grace alone is salvation received, and by grace alone is the life of all individuals’ (believers and non-believers) preserved and sustained. Through grace are we delivered from our daily mistakes and the mistakes of other, and through grace are we defended against the power of evil in the night and in the day. The live we have today is only by God’s grace.

Jeremiah wrote: “But this I recall and therefore have I hope and expectation: It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness. The Lord is my portion or share, says my living being (my inner self); therefore will I hope in Him and wait expectantly for Him. The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who seek Him [inquire of and for Him and require Him by right of necessity and on the authority of God’s word]. It is good that one should hope in and wait quietly for the salvation (the safety and ease) of the Lord.” Lamentation3:21-26

God renews His grace on us every day, not according to our strength or righteousness, but according to His mercies, love and purpose. Contrary to words and desires of men, our ability to see each new day despite our weakness and lacks is a matter of grace not strength or knowledge.

When men want you go down to oblivion, grace raises you up to stand. When men want you to fail and be ridicule in life always, grace makes you an outstanding success even in the face of severe intimidation and frustration. When men departs from you, rejects you, toss you up and out, separate you from their gathering and homes, grace takes you up and make a path of safety for your feet. The help from men are very valuable, but Grace from God exceeds them all. It is grace that sustains and quickens expectation and I ask God’s distinguishing grace upon your life.
