“I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU”

Post date: Jan 10, 2013 5:26:20 AM

Of all things on earth today, relevant and irrelevant to God and man, God will never in any way and by any means abandon His words and will never for any reason leave those who are His own irrespective of the level of evil confrontations and temptations they face in carrying out their physical and spiritual assigned duties. When He says anything, He stands by it and those who cling diligently to those things He said will receive the inherent protection and blessings in those words. By His words, there is a living and unbroken godly vow, divinely spoken, instituted and sustained over your life for your good.

The very best evidence to give to anyone who may want to know any matter concerning the truth about your life and situation is that, God said it and it stands to be so. One thing the devil dreads and greatly respects most on earth today is the truth of the word of God, not your personality. And not until that truth is altered or compromised by any form and means, and you come to believe the compromised and altered version, the truth stand and the devil will respect it in you. The devil knows the power in the truth and the power of your holding on to it. He will only take over and dominates you negatively when you believe and accept his version for your life.

Christ Jesus our Lord and savior came into the world with as a man, not as God, and the devil wanted to take advantage of that and destroy His mission. Matthew Chapter four gave us a chronicle of the forty days and forty nights fasting of Christ and how the devil came to tempt Him. The mission of that temptation was not to prove who He was, but to destroy God’s plans of making salvation available to everyone in the world through Christ.

It is interesting to note the weapons used by the devil to tempt Christ Jesus and the weapons used by Christ Jesus to defeat the devil. While the devil constantly used altered and compromised truth of the word of God, Christ Jesus only referred him continuously to the uncompromised and unaltered truth in its original form, refusing to admit and accept what the devil said on the three tempted occasions. These were the reply from Christ to the words of the devil:-

(1) “But Jesus told him, “No the Scriptures say, People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (2) “Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.” (3) “Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, you must worship the Lord your God and serve only him. Then the devil went away, and angels came and took care of Jesus.” Matthew 4:4, 7, 10-11

On all three occasions, Christ never referred the devil to His personality or His mission; He only referred Him to the written scripture concerning what he was saying at that moment. Has God said it? Trust that He will do it, has He promised? Trust that He will fulfill it, has He called you? Trust that He will defend you. Did He make you male of female? Trust that He will accomplish the reason He gave you of that gender. Has He given you children? He will help you to bring them up in the proper way. He sustains everything He made by the power of His words. It is not your personality that matters to the devil, it is the word of God concerning you and the things you desire and are interested in. Diligently hold on to His word, and God will diligently bring you to the glory earmarked for those words. His word is, I will not leave or forsake you, it was proven in the life of Christ Jesus and will be proven in your life also.

God is leading you with a sure and clear promise of success. When He is on the lead, safe arrival at the planed destination is guaranteed even when we are blind and do not know the road. “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Hebrews 13:5-6. This is a binding holy vow that should give you the joy and assurance you deserve in life. For prayers Click here
