GOD HAS GRANTED MY REQUEST

“Sir, do you remember me? Hannah asked. I am the woman who stood here several years ago praying to the Lord. I asked the Lord to give me this boy, and he has granted my request.” 1 Samuel 1:26-27. Those words of exciting testimony are never impossible to come from you also. In your own case, you will not have to introduce yourself to anyone; the people will see it in you, they will recognize the changes they have seen in you, and they will give praises to your God. We serve the God who can do exceedingly more than we can ever think and ask.

Irrespective of the many adversities which affects your thoughts, your divers’ afflictions which affects your actions, your different hindrances which prevents your advancements in life, and your daily disturbing and disgraceful situations, when God remembers you, which I know and trust He will, He will give you a total turnaround and men will never fail to see it in your life, recognize you as the one who went through those things and praise the name of your God for doing such a marvelous work in you. That was what Hannah went through.

Do you think you will end up having this present adversity negatively bugging your life forever? I do not think so, God will never allow that and I will never pray that for you. Do you think this shameful situation will destroy your life and that of your children’s future? As a bible believing Christian that is definitely a wrong thinking and is never God’s plan for your life. Do not allow the devil to take your thoughts away from the reality of your God, from the power in His name and the redemption in through the blood of Jesus Christ.

God do not ignore prayer request from the heart of His people that will exalt His name and fulfill His plans and purposes now and in the future; He will never keep silence forever though He may not always answer immediately. He will always send the kind of help that will definitely change your situation, change your language, change your dream, change your thoughts and replace your cries with joy celebrations.

Hannah nursed her problem together with her husband for many years before deciding to go to the church and present it to the God of Israel whom she knew and believed. While in the church alone and praying, she wept her heart out seeking the face of her God to show mercy and open her womb. She made her request with a vow and was committed in fulfilling her vow. While praying in the church, Eli thought she was drunk and demanded why she should come to the church drunk.

Did you know that what people think and say about you does not matter? It is what you do with what they think and say, and what you think about yourself in that situation and about your God that matters most. Please get yourself out of what people are saying and thinking of you and put all your focus on what God is saying of you. God’s desire is that you will change for good and not for worse. He desires your advancement, your joy, your multiplication and you being able to overcome every adverse situation that had been hindering and affecting your life.

This is what Hannah went through year after year in the hands of Peninnah and her children, but she never gave up holding on to her God, trusting Him and praying to Him: “So Peninnah would taunt Hannah and make fun of her because the Lord had kept her from having children. Year after year it was the same, Peninnah would taunt Hannah as they went to the Tabernacle. Each time, Hannah would be reduced to tears and would not even eat. Why are you crying, Hannah? Elkanah would ask. Why aren’t you eating? Why be downhearted just because you have no children? You have me, isn’t that better than having ten sons?” 1 Samuel 6:6-8. Eli even thought she was drunk in her place of prayer. But despite all, she persisted and after several years, she gloriously returned with a testimony to the same Eli, ‘he had granted my request.’ What a God.
