I AM NEVER BOWING OUT AND NOT GIVING UP

The desires of Satan in all of these troubles that you do not know how they came by, why they take on you and are so furious, why they linger so long despite your truthfulness, carefulness, and sincerity, why your prayers, charity, and hard work has not stopped them and deliver you is that you will give up living by faith and obedience to the word of God; you will bow out of His presence in fear of dying from the troubles; you will stop following and trusting Jesus Christ for your everyday needs of healing and health, safety and peace, blessings and provisions, and help from destruction; you will stop praying and trusting God, and you will take the alternate and easy route to have what you want in life, but I urge you never to give up, never in any way or form to bow out from following and trusting God through Jesus Christ. The God we serve is bigger than all of our troubles irrespective of their magnitude and number of years of the troubles. You are very valuable to Him even in these troubles. He still loves and needs you to remain in Him.

Through practical experience, Paul wrote with all boldness what troubles he experienced and his resolve never to give up and never to bow out because of the pressure of troubles in his life; “We are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and broken. We are perplexed because we don’t know why things happen as they do, but we don’t give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going. These bodies of ours are constantly facing death just as Jesus did, so it is clear to all that it is only the living Christ within who keeps us safe. Yes, we live under constant danger to our lives because we serve the Lord, but this gives us constant opportunities to show forth the power of Jesus Christ within our dying bodies. Because of our preaching, we face death, but it has resulted in eternal life for you. We boldly say what we believe; trusting God to care for us, just as the psalm writer did when he said, I believe and therefore I speak. We know that the same God who brought the Lord Jesus back from death will also bring us back to life again with Jesus and present us to him along with you. These sufferings of ours are for your benefit. And the more of you who are won to Christ, the more there are to thank him for his great kindness, and the more the Lord is glorified. That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our inner strength in the Lord is growing every day. These troubles and sufferings of ours are, after all, quite small and won’t last very long. Yet this short time of distress will result in God’s richest blessing upon us forever and ever. So we do not look at what we can see right now, the troubles all around us, but we look forward to the joys in heaven which we have not yet seen. The troubles will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-18.

Job had all these exceptional qualities under his name -- a good man who feared God – a man who deliberately stayed away from evil - a perfect and upright man – a man who eschewed evil --- an honest, innocent, blameless man --- a man who honored, feared and respected God -- a man of complete integrity – a man who gave generously to charity and to the poor – a man who  know God and prays often – a man who loves people and his family – a man who provided generously for his spouse and children. All these good and exceptional qualities could not prevent Job from being troubled by Satan; none of these qualities did prevent Job from being Satan’s target of hate and evil and none did prevent him from experiencing these troubles first hand. But despite all the good qualities he had under his name; despite all the troubles that he could not understand why they came on him, Job resolved he will never give up on God, he will bow out from trusting and fixing his heart, mind, and thought on Him and we can see the end of Job. Your excellent prayer life, bible studies, and meditations; consistent faithfulness to God and truthfulness to all people; your explicable love and charitable deeds, godliness and good thoughts towards everyone may not keep you from troubles, but God can and God will keep you.
