THE ZEAL OF THE LORD SHALL PERFORM IT.

Your personal efforts are very needful, very much commendable, and the help of men are very necessary, but despite all that, it is worthy to believe that there are several things you will never be able to accomplish through the very best of those efforts. Just like David, it was not his effort that killed Goliath, neither was it necessitated by the provisions from Saul and the military men around, it was purely the zeal of God in him that performed the act that elevated him to what God had promised and anointed him for in life. The zeal you have in the things of God and the workings of His words of promises will perform greater and better things for you. “Give us help from trouble, for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.” Psalm 108:12-13.

Yes! The zeal you have in serving the Lord, the love you have in following Him, waiting on Him, the determination in your heart and the actions you take each day to see His words fulfilled are all you need to experience the high performance of the words of your declaration as promised by your God. Declaring the words and promises of God are your sole responsibility and the performance of those promises are God’s responsibility, and God will surely do it as He said it.

Do not be afraid to declare your dreams and your desires; do not be afraid to step out in faith; if you refuse to step out for your dreams and visions, you will not be able to stand out in anything else in life. Do not refuse to follow God’s plans, and do not think otherwise concerning His words and promises to you. The words you speak, they are spirit and they are life; begin now to speak those spirit filled words that will transform your life to yourself and to your situation. God had given you the mouth to speak what you want, to declare who you are and what you want to be, speak them out confidently.

Long before our Lord and savior Jesus Christ was conceived and born, God gave prophet Isaiah a rare glimpse into the kind of office Christ Jesus will operate in on earth. Isaiah did not in any way conceal the revelation thereafter; he declared it openly for everyone to see, to hear and to read. “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9:6-7

Isaiah said clearly long before it did happened; Christ Jesus will be born and will be given unto us as a son; those words had been confirmed as true. The government shall be upon His shoulder; one wonders how that was going to happen, but it did. His name, in addition of being the Christ and messiah, shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace; all had been confirmed to be so and very true. Isaiah also declared about the unending nature of His reign, of His government, of His kingdom and of His peace, and said He will establish His government with judgment and with justice forever.

One sentence that amazes me is this conclusion by Isaiah “The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” That is powerful and goes far beyond just strength and knowledge. There is true power in your zeal, there is true reward in it, there is true blessing in it, and there is time for it to begin to work for your good. Christ Jesus despite being without sin needed zeal to confirm the words of God through Isaiah, your zeal for the things of God from today will begin to yield fruits that your efforts over the years could not yield. Begin to declare them as you increase your zeal in the things concerning our Lord Jesus Christ. For prayers Click here
