ANGELS IN ACTION (1)

“About that time King Herod Agrippa began to persecute some believers in the church. He had the apostle James (John’s brother) killed with a sword. When Herod saw how much this pleased the Jewish people, he also arrested Peter. This took place during the Passover celebration. Then he imprisoned him, placing him under the guard of four squads of four soldiers each. Herod intended to bring Peter out for public trial after the Passover. But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him. The night before Peter was to be placed on trial, he was asleep, fastened with two chains between two soldiers. Others stood guard at the prison gate. Suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and an angel of the Lord stood before Peter. The angel struck him on the side to awaken him and said, quick, get up, and the chains fell off his wrists. Then the angel told him, get dressed and put on your sandals, and he did. Now put on your coat and follow me, the angel ordered. So Peter left the cell, following the angel. But all the time he thought it was a vision. He didn’t realize it was actually happening. They passed the first and second guard posts and came to the Iron Gate leading to the city, and this opened for them all by itself. So they passed through and started walking down the street, and then the angel suddenly left him. Peter finally came to his senses. It’s really true, he said. The Lord has sent his angel and saved me from Herod and from what the Jewish leaders had planned to do to me” Acts 12:1-11

God’s angels sent on your behalf will not fold their arms watching you wiped, tormented, locked up and abused by the devil indefinitely; they will not come too early or come too late, they are quite precise in their timing and in their actions according to the instructions of God for them at the time of their presence with you. Remember, they are deliberately sent to minister to you by God, helping in the things that God had destined for you in life.

We can quite remember when Apostle Paul was thrown into the prison for openly preaching Jesus Christ as the savior of the world. The devil and the religious leaders then were angry at Peter and the other Apostles and instigated Peter’s arrest with the intent of killing him using King Herod Agrippa as the point man to carry out that intent. Though Peter was arrested and imprisoned as intended, God did not allow them to kill him in the prison, He did not allow Peter to languish in their jail indefinitely, He did not forget He gave him a mission to fulfill, and He did not allow them to hurt him.

The devil may have succeeded to do what he is doing now in your life, in your marriage, in that of your spouse, children and family members, but God will never allow him to destroy you and to hinder your success and your desires for correction indefinitely. God knows you have a mission to fulfill in His name, He knows He had saved your soul for a reason and had called you into this mission field; He knows you are being attacked with evil and by the workers of evil, He knows you are being confronted with threats, you are being denied of your rights, He knows you are experiencing delayed and frustrations from having your desires and seeing your prayers fulfilled. He knows you are faithful and willing to carry out His instructions, and He will not leave you in this situation, He will not back out on you because you are frustrated, and He will not allow your adversaries to take undue advantage of you indefinitely.

While being in prison, Peter trusted God for whatever will come thereafter and at night, God sent His angel to open the prison doors, to unleashed the chains from his feet and hands, and to bring him out safely with the command to Peter through the angels, “Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.” Remember, the doors were locked and Peter properly chained, but that did not stop the angels from entering and freeing him. It is not impossible for God to set you free, expect His angels to act on your behalf. For prayers, Click here
