“SECOND TIME GOD INTRODUCED HIMSELF TO MOSES”

Post date: Jan 17, 2018 10:24:01 PM

All along in the life of Moses despite the miracles of his survival of the death decreed to all male children of Israel descent at birth; despite his miraculous rescue by one of the daughters of Pharaoh by the bank of the Nile River when he was abandoned by his parents; despite her taking him to have a new life his parents or no one in his family ever expected in the house of Pharaoh; despite his being given all rights as a child and all rights to be whatever best he could dram and desire; despite being well trained in the culture and expectation of the next Pharaoh; one thing was lacking in His life and He did so much desired and longed for it; it was to hear God speak; it was to see the move of God; it was to be a witness and it was to be an instrument in His hands for the rest of his life. Moses had spent a good time studying about the Almighty God and the god of the Egyptians, he had spent time studying about the God and life of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and he was quite familiar with their true life studies. He had studied what God did to, with, and for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. That was why God told him in his encounter that He was the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and Moses immediately knew what He meant and he was willing to become as one of them despite trying to give God excuses.

May I declare to you that God will not speak to you on things that are strange or unfamiliar to you in the first encounter of your hearing His voice. He will speak concerning the things you are expecting and had spent time in His presence to study, to seek understanding and to get insight and He will make His voice clear to you with assurance. The first time Samuel heard God’s voice, it was clear; the first time Noah heard God’s voice it was clear; the first time Isaac heard God speak it was clear, the first time Moses heard the voice of God it was clear and I pray yours will be clear also. When Moses obeyed the first voice of God he heard, he saw miracles; he saw the move of God in ways he never knew or saw before; he experienced God doing the expected and the unexpected and he grew in faith and in understanding and never failed an opportunity to seek more and hear more of His voice. Do not take for granted when you hear the voice of God directly or indirectly, it will definitely change your life and situation and affect everything about you for the very best you expected and never expected. The next time God introduced Himself to Moses, it was for assurance and confirmation, it was restoration and hope, it was for establishment, for joy that Moses needed at that time in his life.

The second time that God introduced Himself to Moses it was God telling him of His unfailing nature and unfailing words and good intents. “Then the Lord came down in a cloud and stood there with him; and he called out his own name, Yahweh. The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out, Yahweh, the Lord; The God of compassion and mercy; I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations. I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and sin. But I do not excuse the guilty. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children and grandchildren; the entire family is affected, even children in the third and fourth generations.” Exodus 34:5

In this second time, God revealed Himself as Yahweh for the very time as He passed in front of Moses in that encounter. God told of He is the God of compassion and mercy; whenever and in whatever situation you find yourself and need compassion and mercy, God promised to give when you go to Him for them, and God had compassion and mercy on Moses despite breaking the Ten Commandments that were given to him. God told him again clearly that He was slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness despite the feelings that Moses had after being angry with Aaron and the children of Israel because of what they did. He told him, I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations; I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and sin. For prayers Click here
