DEAR LORD LET MY EYES BE OPEN

Post date: Jul 12, 2016 5:27:01 AM

It is time to have a new experience in life and a new thinking; it is time to renew your hope and your faith in Christ Jesus; it is time to trust God beyond what you have been seeing and reading in the media; it is time to look beyond what men had been doing or are about to do to and against you; it is time to know that even when you do not see or cannot see, the Almighty God is still with you in a mighty way and doing marvelous things on your behalf. It is time to be joyful and it is time to look beyond your previous experiences of depression and oppression in life. it is time to know that even when fear is reigning in us, God is working for us; even when the enemies had circled us in, God is still in the battle with and for us; even when all our belongings had been taken from us, we can still recover them all and be celebrated; even when our enemies are strong and armed and we are weak without arms, we can still have the victory and even when the whole world is against us, the whole of heaven can still be for us and support us. You were not born to remain in one situation and you were not given eyes to see just one aspect of living. The God who in His love and mercies gave you eyes will enable you to begin seeing better things; that moment of better days are here and you will have them; your new phase of living is here to stay.

Through grace in the living God, you must see something new in your life to be happy about and celebrate; you will see hope and receive assurance, and you will know that your God is with you for good. I am trusting God to open your eyes to see thing different from what you have been seeing; I am asking God to open your eyes to see things that will change the words you speak to yourself; things that will change your fears; things that will change your perceptions of your spouse, children, profession and job. You have seen enough of the negative things about your life and your future; you have seen enough fears in all areas of human living; you have seen enough frustrating tears from the failures and disappointments of life; you have had enough shame; you have had enough of the sorrows of loneliness and idleness; you have had enough bitterness inside of you and it is time to experience a change.

The soldiers were given the command to arrest and bring Elisha to face the wrath of the king of Aram. He was seen as an enemy that needed to be eliminated or silenced forever; his servant also knew the threat against his master was also against himself; Elisha was not afraid of the threat by the king, but on a good mornings, the servant saw the threat with his eyes and was afraid; he communicated his fears to Elisha and the only thing Elisha could do to change his fears because of what he had seen was to pray that God open his eyes to see what God was doing despite what the king had done and God answered the prayer instantly. What you will see from now on will kill the fears you have been having in life. Elisha and his servant were safe and protected by God despite the threats and what the servant saw; that same God who did that of Elisha and his servant will also do the same for and with you. “Now the heart of the king of Aram was enraged over this thing. He called his servants and said to them, will you not tell me which of us is helping the king of Israel? One of his servants said, none of us, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom. So he said, go and see where he is, so that I may send men and seize him. And he was told he is in Dothan. So he sent horses and chariots and a powerful army there. They came by night and surrounded the city. The servant of the man of God got up early and went out, and behold, there was an army with horses and chariots encircling the city. Elisha’s servant said to him, oh no, my master, what are we to do? Elisha answered; do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them. Then Elisha prayed and said, Lord, please, open his eyes that he may see. And the Lord opened the servants eyes and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha.”  2 kings 6:11-18. Click here for prayer
