"THE DAY GOLIATH FELL (3)"

Post date: Oct 25, 2018 3:51:26 AM

The day Goliath fell was the day he died, his head was cut off with his own weapon; his human strength and authority in all warfare was destroyed; his weapons and all the years of training as a warrior was rendered useless; on that day his head, his crown, and the sword of his pride were taken by David and they became David’s evidence of prove to the people and nation of Israel of his victory and conquer not only over Goliath but also over the Philistines. That day a new king was announced by the people, not the sitting king, bypassing all protocols, all previous plans, all previous thoughts, all previous imaginations, all former preparations, and all knowledge of men in the king’s inner cabinet of kingmakers. It was a day the people unknowingly confess the intent of God for Israel openly; it was a day that God put a new song in their heart and opened their mouth to sing it fearlessly; it was a day of spiritual boldness despite their physical cowardice and respect for the sitting King. The day God will disarm your enemies will be a day of his or her public disgrace, a day that he or she will never recover to stand again, a day that he or she will have no place to hide, no secrets to hide, no place to run to any person to stand with. It will A day that no one will show him or her mercy or give him or her anything in support and a day that the glory of the Almighty God will never be resisted and you will be stopped. On the day that Goliath fell, from that very day onward, David was unstoppable.

Do not be afraid of the status-quo or the protocols before you or those behind or ahead in the setting of the status-quo or protocol, did you know God can bypass protocol for your sake? His plans are far beyond the wisdom and planning and understanding of men. Did you know God can make someone or a group of people be very bold and speak for your sake without knowing or planning it before? God’s ways are not like our ways. He can and will raise the stone if men refuse, and He can and will do all to confirm you in what He had planned, designed, destined and spoken of you in this life. He is the chief planner that can never be questioned, the time maker and the custodian of time. Hold on to Him faithfully; never step outside of His presence; never doubt His words; never doubt His ability, never doubt His promises, and never doubt the future He had set for you to fulfill. Tough times will come and tough times will go, but the words and promises of God will ever remain the same, unchanged and strong. Do your best to be obedient to Him in all things, He will confirm you, He will bless you, He will promote you, He will heal you, He will restore you, and He will uphold you in His right hand in a miraculous way.

That was a day of general acceptance of David by the people and King Saul noted it with anger and jealousy instead of pride and joy. “As they were coming home, when David returned from killing the Philistine, the women came out of all the cities of Israel, singing, and dancing, to meet King Saul with tambourines, songs of joy, and musical instruments. The women sang as they played and danced, saying, Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands. Then Saul became very angry, for this saying displeased him; and he said, they have ascribed to David ten thousands, but to me, they have ascribed only thousands. Now, what more can he have but the kingdom? Saul looked at David with suspicion and jealousy from that day forward.” 1 Samuel 18:6-9. Moses told Joshua; “The Lord will do to them just as He did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, and to their land, when He destroyed them. The Lord will hand them over to you, and you shall do to them in accordance with all the commandments which I have commanded you. Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble in dread before them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Then Moses called to Joshua and said to him in the sight of all the people of Israel, be strong and courageous, for you will go with this people into the land which the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you will give it to them as an inheritance. It is the Lord who goes before you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:4-8. For prayers Click here
