LORD, I BELIEVE I CAN CHANGE  (3)

“He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever He promises.” Romans 4:21. That was Abraham then, what about you now? Abraham was convinced that God will change His life and He did when he followed the given instructions. Change is good and possible but it requires the right knowledge, a measurable tool, and a divinely acceptable action, not merely wishful thinking as many are engaged in doing. There is no situation too hard for God to change. He is the same yesterday, today, and will remain the same forever. As He was with Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jabez, Jacob, Hannah, Peter, Paul, and many others, so is He with you today and right ready to bring changes that will exalt His name irrespective of the situation in your life. Dreams are good indicators for what is to come, but God’s words and promises are better evidence of what He will definitely do. It will require the right knowledge, appropriate and measurable actions, and not mere desires for God’s words and promises to be fulfilled. It is certain what God will do even when we do not know all of them but we will have to trust Him for the very best in all situations and circumstances.

You will change for good, not for evil; God will give you what is good and acceptable not what is bad or evil; He will establish you on His promises, not on the wishes of people; He will take you up from where you are now and keep you out of trouble. He will glorify His mighty name in you and change all the situations that bring shame and frustration. The disciples of Jesus Christ heard the promise of Christ concerning the Holy Spirit and believed they can have what He said; they believed the Holy Spirit will change them, they believed they will be more useful than they were before, so they went up to the upper room as commanded with others and prayed for the promised that will change their lives and ministry; as they prayed and continued in prayers, the Holy Spirit came and the impact was beyond their imaginations, and to their joy, the change they prayed for came, the Holy Spirit from heaven came upon each of them and they were never the same again. “When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:1-4

God is taking you to a place of change; to a moment of change and He is leading you all the way through. Affliction should not be permanent or remain indefinite. I believe in the power of God to change me and change everything around me. I believe in His word and promises. I believe in His presence, there will be change and I believe when we pray and keep praying, not giving in to anything that wants to compel us to stop, we will receive the change. If we do not believe in change then why do we pray? Id change will not come then why should we believe and follow Jesus Christ? Christ has the power, and the grace to give us the change we need when we remain in Him, in His presence, and in His word.

In Mark 7:24-30, we see a woman who believed in change, expected change, and insisted until she received it despite the words of men to discourage her. “For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Him, and she came and fell at His feet. The woman was a Greek, a Syro-Phoenician by birth, and she kept asking Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. But Jesus said to her, let the children be filled first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs. And she answered and said to Him, Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children’s crumbs. Then He said to her, For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter. And when she had come to her house, she found the demon gone out, and her daughter lying on the bed.” For prayers, Click here
