“OH GOD, WILL I EVER BE FULFILLED?”

Post date: Jul 24, 2017 6:06:18 AM

After hearing all the goodness in the promises that God gave to him, Abraham never knew he will ever fulfill all the words he heard, but even in that state, all he did was to faithfully believe the words, faithfully follow the words and faithfully obey all further instructions thereafter. When Noah heard the words of God concerning the rain, he never knew he would fulfill what was said but all he did was to believed and comply with the instructions. When Daniel was in the prison and never knew the date, time and season he will be freed and be fulfilled, but his day came, his moment came and his time came to be fulfilled. When Joseph saw himself in the dream regarding what he will be in life, though he believed it, he never knew how it will come by, how it will happen, and when that season will come, but God made that to happen. Sarah never knew she will be fulfilled as a mother; Job never knew he will recover and be restored, he never knew how and when things will change, but one thing he did continually was to believe, to rely and trust God even for the impossible things he thought and wishes for himself despite what he saw and knew of his condition and what the people were saying about him and to him.

You are not alone with that feeling; with that thought and with that question and the truth is that with God in you and for you, you will be fulfilled if you will remain faithful to the architect of your life, of your living, of your existence and of your future. God spoke about you before you were conceived and born; He owns everything about you including what you are now and what you will be tomorrow. Irrespective of your location and your profession, your gender and your age, your language, and your education, what God said of you is what He will do and that is what will happen to you. You are not and will not remain a product of what others are doing to you or against you and you will not be what they may say irrespective of their accuracy. God holds your future and will lead you through every stage in life till you get to the place He had intended and designed for you. Your current situation is not a hindrance to you or to God and it will not stop you; through grace and mercy in the name of Jesus Christ, you will overcome this situation, you will fulfill His words, you will see His promises fulfilled and you will fulfill the purpose which He made you for. There is no fear, no doubts and no prison that will stop you from being what He said. Being fulfilled is the question on the lips of many of us; it is what most of us ponder in our hearts in the nights and in the day all year round irrespective of what we are doing or will ever come to do. This question is in the heart of everyone, no one is satisfied with his or herself.

This is how Joseph was fulfilled; “Joseph’s suggestions were well received by Pharaoh and his officials. So Pharaoh asked his officials, can we find anyone else like this man so obviously filled with the spirit of God? Then Pharaoh said to Joseph since God has revealed the meaning of the dreams to you, clearly, no one else is as intelligent or wise as you are. You will be in charge of my court, and all my people will take orders from you. Only I, sitting on my throne, will have a rank higher than yours. Pharaoh said to Joseph, I hereby put you in charge of the entire land of Egypt. Then Pharaoh removed his signet ring from his hand and placed it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in fine linen clothing and hung a gold chain around his neck. Then he had Joseph ride in the chariot reserved for his second-in-command. And wherever Joseph went, the command was shouted, kneel down. So Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of all Egypt. And Pharaoh said to him, I am Pharaoh, but no one will lift a hand or foot in the entire land of Egypt without your approval. Then Pharaoh gave Joseph a name, Zaphenath-paneah. He also gave him a wife, whose name was Asenath. She was the daughter of Potiphera, the priest of On. So Joseph took charge of the entire land of Egypt.” Genesis 41:37-45. There is no doubt in my heart concerning everyone reading this devotional, you will definitely fulfill what God had said, design and destined as Joseph, Moses, and others did. For prayers,Click here
