ALWAYS HOPEFUL AND JOYFUL

There is power in the name of Jesus Christ and believers should have an uncompromising trust and hope in His ability to make our expectations to come alive. There is nothing as elevating to the heart and the spirit as one hoping for, and hearing something good in respect to that hope and expectation. It releases our inner pains and sets us free from self-condemnation; it radiates the face with gladness and empowers the spirit for more exploits. It touches the mind with the hunger for a quick change, and gives the eagerness to stand out and pray that the next day should come fast despite the pains you have right now. Please be hopeful, be joyful and keep expecting.

It is the joy of expectation that made Christ Jesus to include “Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10 as He teaches His disciples to pray. The knowledge and expectation of what God will do in any given circumstances will give us the expected joy and true hope for tomorrow. Whatever the devil in doing in your life, that of your children or family, marriage and job, trust God that He will bring a joyful change as we hope every day for it.

The devil is not always the winner; in fact, he is always the loser when we are steadfast and consistent in prayer, hope and trust. I want you to be joyful in your hope in that situation you are holding unto till God brings the change. Refuse to give up your peace and joy in every situation, and refuse to accept the initial resistance the devil will show to you, there is great joy; not shame in your hope in God in that situation. This is the account of that hope you are holding up in Christ Jesus beside the joy: “Through Him also we have [our] access (entrance, introduction) by faith into this grace (state of God’s favor) in which we [firmly and safely] stand. And let us rejoice and exult in our hope of experiencing and enjoying the glory of God. Moreover [let us also be full of joy now] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patience and unswerving e endurance. And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.” Romans 5:2-5. Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames, that is the foundation that sustains our joy as Christians.

Despite all odds, despite the opposing news and threats from men and the devil, be very hopeful in your God to the end, and be very joyful in your expectations even when the situation is dire. Christ Jesus is not leading us into defeat, but to victory because we are His sweet fragrance to convince the world of the reality of His existence and power. “But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph [as trophies of Christ’s victory] and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere, For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ [which exhales] unto God, [discernible alike] among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing: To the latter it is an aroma [wafted] from death to death [a fatal odor, the smell of doom]; to the former it is an aroma from life to life [a vital fragrance, living and fresh]. And who is qualified (fit and sufficient) for these things? [Who is able for such a ministry? We?] For we are not, like so many, [like hucksters making a trade of] peddling God’s Word [shortchanging and adulterating the divine message]; but like [men] of sincerity and the purest motive, as [commissioned and sent] by God, we speak [His message] in Christ (the Messiah), in the [very] sight and presence of God.” 2 Corinthians 2:14-17

Nothing will change who you are in Christ Jesus. Do not allow adverse situations to dictates who you are to the world but let it the word of God you follow. That is where the hope and joy brings result that endures. Declaring my life in 2013 prayer: November 15-18 2012, Click here
