DEAR LORD, WHAT IS THIS?

Post date: Oct 9, 2014 5:30:41 PM

Many people wake up with strange things every day around them, things that instantly takes their joy away, things that causes anger and severe anguish, things that questions their genuine faith in the Almighty God and their years of believing in Christ Jesus and following His words, things that questions their genuine actions and godly desires to be fulfilled, things that are contrary to their daily expectations, and things they never expected to see in their body, in the lives of their children, their spouses, their homes, their jobs, businesses and their respective offices.

They wake up to experience things they never expected to experience, hear things they never expected to hear loud and clear with both ears, have a feeling of odd things around them and their expectation of getting freed from such things and experiences dwindles by the hour. But despite all the things you have seen and will have, I want you to know that God has a standard for your life, for your victory and a barrier around everything that concerns you. The things you see may be right and the feelings you experience may be real, but none of them can take the place of your God and none of them will make the word of God ineffective in your life.

Beyond all imaginations, Job woke up one morning to see things he never expected to see, to hear news he never wanted to hear, and to experience the worst he never ever imagined could be true in his life and in his family. Job’s calamity did not come because he was a sinner or had mistakenly fallen out of grace and the protective favor of the Almighty God in words or in actions, it happened because he was actively under the universal coverage of the most potent divine insurance of the Almighty God and the devil’s intent was to make him doubt his God, to discard his desire for purity and walk away from the grace that had sustained him all along.

One day, Jabez suddenly realized certain things in his life was not right, was not comfortable and was not in any way acceptable to him. From family history, he discovered the same thin had taken happened to his brothers before him and had defeated them. He did not want to take the words of consolation from any one not even his parents. One day, despite all joy of getting marriage, Hannah suddenly wake to realize she was not pregnant as expected and that bordered her but never defeated her resolve to seek and answer and a redress. At the end, Jabez break the fear and the bad omen he observed in his life and family; Hannah also overcame her fears and her infertility through praying to the Almighty God. These two knew God can change all things, can remove or overturn all bad omens and can heal all symptoms or realities of infertilities, and they went to Him with all confidence and left His presence with all assurance.

You may be asking yourself or your God ‘what is this’. You may have observed several things in your own life that you cannot understand or truly explained why despite all the cares you put on in doing things and despite all the assistance from specialist doctors. You may have been experiencing situations that medical and herbal journals had not offered any glimpse and medical science had not found a cure for and you are scared of what is happening to you. God still has you covered in His hands as He did Job, Jabez and Hannah.

“And if you hearken to these precepts and keep and do them, the Lord your God will keep with you the covenant and the steadfast love which He swore to your fathers. And He will love you, bless you, and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your body and the fruit of your land, your grain, your new wine, and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock in the land which He swore to your fathers to give you. You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle. And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and none of the evil diseases of Egypt which you knew will He put upon you, but will lay them upon all who hate you.” Deuteronomy 7:12-18. Despite what you see and feel, my God will give you the victory.  For prayers, Click here
