REASONS FOR SUCCESS

The visions from God will never die unless one decides to kill it either through fear, ignorance, greed or misappropriation. There are great consequences when you allow this God’s visions in you to die. The success that is from God will always accompany peace without any feelings of guilt in every aspect. In pursuing success, it is not the power of opposition from the outside that will stall the vision or dream, but the rebellion that is from the inside of you. The extent of your pursuit of success is largely dependent upon what your drive in the inside is, and that drive is what defines you generally. While God requires excellence in everything we do to succeed, He will only support drives that exalts His name, His attribute and His principles. Most people that have declared themselves failure are not failure as they may think. They arrive at this conclusion because they compare themselves with things and people they should not.

If the head is sick the whole body will be sick, and if the body is sick its ability to function properly is reduced thereby affecting everything the body does thereafter. Isaiah 1:5. Bravery is necessary in everything you do in life but success is always tied to submission and dedication to divine principles derived from only the word of God and not the thoughts of men in any way.

When Nehemiah had the vision of the restoration of the walls of Jerusalem, he first believed that the vision was from God and that the timing was right for him to move out of his comfort into the field. May I declare to you that success at every level is never cheap. You, not someone else will always be required to pay the full price for every successful pursuit. If you are not ready to pay the full price, you will not have the success of your dream. This is where people declare themselves failures, desiring to have the fullness of their dreamed success while keeping their comforts intact. If your success does not cost you anything, it will be short lived and this is not God’s intent for you.

“Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach. Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work. But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, what is this thing that ye do? Will ye rebel against the king? Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem”. Nehemiah 2:17-20

Nehemiah was able to communicate his vision to the King and to everyone who needed to know even the enemies. His vision was beyond the devastation on the ground and he was able to give clear reasons why the people should support the vision. He was able to identify the three greatest oppositions to the vision, not to his person. In pursuing vision, first identify the things that will hinder the vision, before seeking to identify those against your person.

His personal testimony gave him his dreamed victory (1) The hand of God which was upon him. Did you know that God has His hands on you to fulfill the vision? (2) The favorable words of the king that generates favor and cooperation from others. Did you that the word of God is a sure guarantee to your success? (3) Confidence in expression. The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build. Not until you start, you will never succeed.

The reason for your success is not your vision, strength and knowledge; it is God's desire for you so you may give Him the praise in the land of the living.
