With the Red Sea as a hindrance to their forward movement as best possible route of their escape and with the armies of Pharaoh at their back ready to either kill or take them back, God was still leading the children of Israel as He had promised, He was still in love with them, was still sure and confident of their safety, of their freedom, and He was still their best guardian. When trouble comes when God is leading you, never forget that He is still with you, He is still in the trouble with you to deliver and to take you through. Despite what the children of Israel saw with their eyes, feel with their body and spoke to and against Moses, despite their fears and discouragement and despite the facts on the ground, the mind of God was fixed on their safety, freedom, deliverance and the arrival at the Promised Land. Did you know God had made up His mind concerning you despite what you see, feel and what people are saying and doing against you? He had made up His mind concerning your safety, your salvation, your marriage, your family, your finances, your future, and your life and He will not change His mind. You are set for freedom and nothing else, you are set to be a success and nothing less, you are set to overcome this loneliness and shame and fear and misunderstanding and whatever is after or coming after you. Paul said in Romans 8 that we will have the victory through Christ for we are more conquerors through Christ who gives us the strength to stand and to continue in faith and in His love.

What is in front of you as a hindrance and what is behind seeking to overtake and keep you back in captivity? What is making life and living more difficult for you? What is that shame to your earlier testimony of salvation, freedom, abuse, unhappiness, and anger? Remember as God was leading the children of Israel, He was very certain of their victory despite what they saw with their eyes, their understanding and their human predicted outcome. God is far beyond the best predictions of men and He is bound by our thoughts. This is what Moses said to the people who were disturbed, afraid and confused by what they saw in front and behind them; “Then Moses said to the people, do not be afraid, take your stand, be firm and confident and undismayed and see the salvation of the Lord which He will accomplish for you today; for those Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you while you only need to keep silent and remain calm.” Exodus 14:13-14

After Moses had spoken to the people, God started instructing Moses on what will happen next. This is what God asked Modes to do: “The Lord said to Moses, why do you cry to Me? Tell the sons of Israel to move forward toward the sea. As for you, lift up your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, so that the sons of Israel may go through the middle of the sea on dry land. As for Me, hear this: I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will go in the sea after them, and I will be glorified and honored through Pharaoh and all his army, and his war-chariots and his horsemen. And the Egyptians shall know and acknowledge that I am the Lord, when I am glorified and honored through Pharaoh, through his war-chariots and his charioteers. The angel of God, who had been going in front of the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them. The pillar of the cloud moved from in front and stood behind them. So it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel. It was a cloud along with darkness by day to the Egyptians, but it gave light by night to the Israelites; so one army did not come near the other all night. Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord swept the sea back by a strong east wind all that night and turned the seabed into dry land, and the waters were divided. The Israelites went into the middle of the sea on dry land, and the waters formed a wall to them on their right hand and on their left. Exodus 14:15-22. Our God is not afraid, He will never be put to shame in our lives despite what we are going through. God defended Israel while fighting for them, He will defend and fight for you also.
