Post date: May 16, 2018 3:44:34 AM

Did you know that you were born for a purpose and received salvation to fulfill a destiny that only God will make effective? You need an extraordinary encounter with God today to activate that destiny. Right from the womb, Jacob was destined to be blessed by God, to be great, and to continue in the promises of God to his grandfather Abraham, but that blessing never came until he had this unexpected encounter. Your situation and location will not take the plans of God from you, take you away from His purpose, or take you away from the destiny He had decided through salvation in Christ Jesus for you when you remain faithful in Him and work in obedience to His words. Jacob we know had an encounter with his brother and through his parent’s advice, left the house empty-handed, but before he left, he was blessed with a prayer from his father’s heart, a prayer with a purpose, and the power to be fulfilled. It was not an ordinary father to son prayer of I bless you; it was a prayer to continue in the covenant God had established with Abraham and His descendant. A prayer that seeks to fulfill God’s intent, words, and promises, a prayer that was destined to be effective and active only through God in his life.

Prayers had done amazing things in the lives of many before you and it will and can do amazing things in your own life also; it can do things you had never imagine, it can unlock closed doors, correct your ways, your steps, and your mistakes; it can break yokes and set you free, it can open doors that men had concluded will be impossible to open in your life, and can restore your life and joy forever. Pray with expectation, with assurance, and with confidence that God will answer and you will see God in manifestation. Every prayer requires an encounter with God thereafter to be effective and active and that was what happened to Jacob. “So Isaac called for Jacob and blessed him. Then he commanded him: do not marry a Canaanite woman. Go at once to Paddan Aram, to the house of your mother’s father Bethuel. Take a wife for yourself there, from among the daughters of Laban, your mother’s brother. May God Almighty bless you and make you fruitful and increase your numbers until you become a community of peoples. May he give you and your descendants the blessing given to Abraham, so that you may take possession of the land where you now reside as a foreigner, the land God gave to Abraham.” Genesis 28:1-4

It is certain that Isaac was rich, he inherited his fathers blessing and God added to that blessing but when Jacob left the house for fear of being killed by his brother, he left empty handed but despite that, God had a plan for him and in the plans God revealed Himself and His intent to him in a dream in a strange place. You such encounter today for your destiny to begin. “Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Harran. When he reached a certain place, he stopped for the night because the sun had set. Taking one of the stones there, he put it under his head and lay down to sleep. He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. There above it stood the Lord, and he said: I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying. Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring. I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you. When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it. He was afraid and said, how awesome is this place. This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.” Genesis 28:10-17. Right after that encounter, Jacobs confidence returned, and he was ready to continue until he reaches the place of his fulfillment in life. There are things that God will show you to encourage you, to strengthen you, and keep you joyful until the day of your fulfillment. God will not leave you in confusion forever and He will not leave second guessing indefinitely. For prayers, Click here
