FOR THE JOY TO COME

Lift up your head people of God; strengthen the weak knees, the weak hands, let strong hope rise within you in all things from today, the Lord your God is bringing an undeniable joy and celebration to you soon. You have received enough of the bitter side of life, your faith had been tested and stretched, your patience and humility had been subjected to foolishness by men, it is now time to move ahead to the other side of life, the side where the promise lies and the joy of accepting and knowing Christ Jesus as you only Lord and savior dwells. God in His wisdom gave us the night, the day, the sun, the moon and other things for physical and divine purposes.

Despite all the gloom, despite all the fears, all the uncertainties, the cries, the delays, the denials, the humiliations, all the loneliness and all the disappointments that you have endured over the years in certain places, from certain individuals, and from the hands of the devil, we can boldly say, certainly there are good things ahead for us every day that the Lord will permit us to see and to live through. God will fulfill the expectations of the righteous is a promise that your God had not change and will never change. The power to do it is still in His hands, and certainly, our God will do it and we should expect to see it in our lives always.

God cannot, and will not give us each new day without adding our daily bread in such a way that we will be full and have more than enough to spare. Jesus Christ taught His disciples to pray and to expect result and not to be like others: “Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Matthew 6:8-14

The expectations that result from the above prayer are numerous and very effective in generating great confidence in us that God will not forsake us in anyway. Let us see the confidence,

(1). A recognition that your God is the God above not the one under the seats, or the furniture on the stand, or the one in the river, or the one in the bush. Did you know that your God is worthy to be praised above all other gods despite what you feel and what people say about you because of the situation you face today?

(2). Your God knows all that you need before you ask, He knows all that you are going through before they started, and He is quite able to take you through them all giving you the peace and the victory you deserve as you trust Him and walk with Him daily.

(3). His will must be done on earth, in our lives as we continue steadfastly in prayer and trust. Do not be distracted when things are not moving as fast as you would wish. God will fulfill His perfect will in your life as you keep the expectation and continue faithfully in Him.

(3). Each new day from Him are filled with sufficient blessings to sustain you and to spare to others in their need. He makes you a distributor of His resources.

(4). Temptation of any form will not overtake you when they come because your God is always with you to deliver, to defend, and to stop you from falling when you are being tempted, tried, when you faith, trust and believe in Him are tested by adverse circumstances.

(5). The past sins you have sincerely confessed and forsaken will not be held against you in any way again because he had forgiven you just as you did to those who offended you.

Do not allow any situation to stop the flow of the joy of Christ Jesus in you because God had destined you to receive the joy He is about to unfold. For prayers Click here
