"WHEN HOPE WAS LOST GOD SHOWED UP"

What should we do when hope is lost? Where do we turn when hope is lost? There are situations we never planned for but they happen and there are occasions we never expected in any way but they come. There are moments and times when we feel utterly hopeless and clueless. When our best seem to be our worst and our hopes and dreams are shattered fast than they should; they are times and moments we will never to be fulfilled despite our efforts and labor in what we desire and there are times we feel we are on the wrong path while still walking and seeking to obey our Lord and follow His commands. There are times that we will not be able to see beyond our pains, beyond our struggles, beyond our immediate situation, and beyond our frustration, and there will be times and moments that we will forget to grasp the hope that God offers us through His words and His presence. Jesus Christ our Lord had this moment on the cross where He cried because of His feelings, and it was loud enough for people to hear and react: “From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over all the land. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, Eli, Eli Lemasabachthani? Which means My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?. When some of those standing there heard this, they said, He’s calling Elijah. Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a staff, and offered it to Jesus to drink. The rest said, now leave him alone. Let’s see if Elijah comes to save him. And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.” Matthew 27:44-50. You may lose the hope to believe there will ever be a better day for you, but yes, despite your feelings and all of your cries and pains and hopelessness, there is a better day for you, a day of restoration a day of rejoicing and a day of your comfort despite your loss and pains.

Despite the situations we see, know and experience, we must have a firm grasp on the characteristics of the Almighty God. God is forever good. God wants good things to us, even when we experience or see bad things happening; we can trust that in His sovereignty, He can bless us, He will give us His best, and He will bring good things out of every situation. The Zarephath woman had her last hope turn around, she was given life again, and her life and her fellowship restored by the power of the living God. She never knew God was working something out for her until she experienced it; she never knew God will sustain her beyond her hopes until she saw it, and she never knew God was by her until her life was changed. Did you God is working things out for you even now when it seems things are not right? In every situation, do not forget that God is with you even when you do not see Him, feel it, or told about it. His presence will go with you He told Moses. “Then the word of the Lord came to him, arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. Behold, I have commanded a widow there to feed you. So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks. And he called to her and said, bring me a little water in a vessel that I may drink And as she was going to bring it, he called to her and said, bring me a morsel of bread in your hand. And she said, as the Lord your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of flour in a jar and a little oil in a jug. And now I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son that we may eat it and die. And Elijah said to her, do not fear; go and do as you have said. But first, make me a little cake of it and bring it to me, and afterward make something for yourself and your son. For thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, The jar of flour shall not be spent, and the jug of oil shall not be empty, until the day that the Lord sends rain upon the earth. And she went and did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days. The jar of flour was not spent; neither did the jug of oil become empty, according to the word of the Lord that he spoke by Elijah. 1 Kings 17:8-16. When we are weak, our God is strong, when we are at our lowest point, He is always ready to lift us up. For prayerClick here
