“FIRST TIME GOD INTRODUCED HIMSELF TO MOSES”

Post date: Jan 17, 2018 1:53:45 AM

It was spectacular, amazing, and very clear. The first time God introduced Himself to Moses was for him to be used for His services before Pharaoh and the children of Egypt; God told him to look back into the life of Abraham and see what He did to him, with him and for him; to look back in the life of Isaac and see what He did to him, with him and for him, and to look back in the life of Jacob and see what He did to him, with him and for him. This was done to encourage Moses in accepting to go with the message that God was about to send him; it was done to strengthen his faith that he will experience good result and it was done deliberately to give him hope and establish his heart in believing in results and to be focused on God alone as he will require obedience to have the same result as those people He referred him to in history. Did you know God has good histories to keep you faithful, hopeful and obedient in doing His work and following His instructions? Did you know God will not send you on missions that you will fail irrespective of the situation and the toughness of the people or the place He is sending you and irrespective of how discouraged, disappointed, unqualified and shameful you are in life by the things you are currently experiencing? All that God will require of you is not how qualified you are, but how ready you are to be faithful, obedient and focused on the things He will ask you to for Himself.

Moses has had several ups and down moments in his life since the day he was born; he had had his best and his worst, and this time, he was in his lowest moments in life. He was confused about what next to do; discouraged by what he was going through, shameful of where he was and what he was doing, lonely, rejected and without hope; but God who had foreordained things in his life knew the right moment to speak to Moses, and this is what He said; “Look, the cry of the people of Israel has reached me, and I have seen how harshly the Egyptians abuse them. Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt. But Moses protested to God, who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt? God answered I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain. But Moses protested, if I go to the people of Israel and tell them, the God of your ancestors has sent me to you, they will ask me, what is his name? Then what should I tell them? God replied to Moses, I am who I am. Say this to the people of Israel: I am has sent me to you. God also said to Moses, say this to the people of Israel: Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob has sent me to you. This is my eternal name, my name to remember for all generations. Now go and call together all the elders of Israel. Tell them, Yahweh, the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has appeared to me. He told me, I have been watching closely, and I see how the Egyptians are treating you. I have promised to rescue you from your oppression in Egypt. I will lead you to a land flowing with milk and honey, the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live. The elders of Israel will accept your message. Then you and the elders must go to the king of Egypt and tell him, the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. So please let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord, our God.”Exodus 3:9-19

For those desiring to hear God speak, did you know He knows the right time to talk with you and to give you directions? He will speak and you will hear; He will give you understanding and you will follow; He will give you audience, and He will bring them and He will establish His words. Before God sent Moses, He encouraged him with the reference that He is the God who made and was with Abraham when he had nothing and established him, the God of Isaac, who was born at the right time, and the God of Jacob who inherited the promise.
