You have done all, now begin to walk in obedience to My words. Obedience is key to fulfilling your expectations, besides, I am willing and able to do much more than you will ever demand, expect, and dream of in life. I am your God and My resources are inexhaustible, My blessings are unending and My promises are backed with an oath in Christ Jesus. Abraham My servant started with obedience; that was the beginning of changes in his life; that made his sacrifices acceptable by Me; it also brought him all the blessings according to the promise and turned the promises I gave him into an everlasting covenant. It was just a single obedience that turned things around for Isaac in time of farming. “Then Isaac planted seed in that land as a farmer and reaped in the same year a hundred times as much as he had planted and the Lord blessed and favored him. And the man Isaac became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and extremely distinguished; he owned flocks and herds and a great household with a number of servants, and the Philistines envied him.” Genesis 26:12-14. That is the reward of obedience.

God wants us to remember today that it was obedience that made Abraham a friend of God and enable him to walk in righteousness, not his sacrifice. It was obedience also that gave Isaac a supernatural advantage in time of famine and he became wealthy until people started to envy him not sacrifice. Obedience is not an option it is a command; it is a required by our God and it is effective in making things better and possible for you. Obedience unlocks God’s power and a divine favor in every location you may be, at every time of the season despite the prevalent situations where are and despite the circumstance surrounding you. Obedience elevates faith and it is one requirement that fulfills the demand of trust and believes. Irrespective of your name and location, your color and your profession, obedience to God will definitely change you for the best and will also change your personality. In obedience, we surrender our will for God’s will; we give up all that we know in that particular situation to what God says; in obedience, we show our dependence on God’s strength, God’s wisdom, and God’s ability. In obedience, we show willing and loyal acceptance; in obedience, we show confidence in the word of God rather than fear and any form of confusion. In obedience, we are assured of a better ending that will glorify God and also bless our lives. Remember it was obedience that saved the life of Noah and his family.

Samuel told King Saul in a clear language that obedience to divine order is better than the best sacrifice he could ever offer to God. It was just that one disobedience that denied Saul peace and favor to continue as king in Israel. Despite what you think and feel about obedience, it is to your own credit when you obey. God has no intent of replacing you with someone else as He did with Saul; He has no intent of denying you the grace to fulfill His promises and maximize your given potentials; He has no intent of subjecting you to more sorrows and pains; all He wants is to give you the best of His unending love and a life-changing blessings. Abraham had no prior encounter with God but was tremendously blessed because of his obedience in his very first encounter with God. Isaac, Moses, Joshua, David, Daniel and many others enjoyed the blessings of obedience and God wants you to do the same. "Therefore, put on the complete armor of God, so that you will be able to resist and stand your ground in the evil day, and having done everything that the crisis demands, stand firm in your place, fully prepared, immovable. So stand firm and hold your ground, having tightened the wide band of truth, integrity, moral courage around your waist and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having strapped on your feet the gospel of peace in preparation to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news. Above all, lift up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
