God will keep His words, He will fulfill His promises and those who hold onto His words and promises will not be put to shame, those who refuse to give up His name and principles for something else will not be forgotten and those who call on His name in truth will be rewarded. The reward for the church and people of Philadelphia was opening the doors that had been closed by reason of adversities, closed by the powers of darkness, closed by men who claim to be Jews and were in power, closed by the lies from the enemies against them and against their activities, He said, He will bring down to their knees. This is how God said He will make in the promise – “I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie, I will make them come and bow down at your feet and make them know without any doubt that I have loved you.” Revelation 3:9. In promising to open the closed doors, God said He will make their enemies recognize His love for His people, He will make their enemies bow down at their feet.

Whatever God had said to you privately or openly or through His written words, that He will do and will not relent even when you are opposed by the powers of darkness and by men. God went further and promised keeping them safe after opening the closed doors. God said – “Because you have kept the word of My endurance, My command to persevere, I will keep you safe from the hour of trial, that hour which is about to come on the whole inhabited world, to test those who live on the earth.” Revelation 3:10. Keeping safe was one of the prayers of Jabez after asking God for expansion and a change, and when God granted him the request, He protected what He had granted him and also kept him safe to enjoy the blessings. God will keep you safe to enjoy the blessings of open doors; He will give you the strength to stand up again from every fall, He will rescue you from the pits of affliction, He will enable you to laugh again as Sarah did even in her old age when people thought she will never see her expectations fulfilled. “And Abraham was a hundred years old when his son Isaac was born unto him. And Sarah said God hath made me to laugh so that all that hear will laugh with me. And she said, who would have said unto Abraham that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.” Genesis 21:5-7. The open doors for Abraham and Sarah came and they rejoiced in it, yours will come also with rejoicing and gladness, it will come with testimony and God will keep you safe and He will also keep what He will do safe.

After the promise of open doors, God warned the people and the church in Philadelphia, - “Hold tight what you have so that no one will take your crown by leading you to renounce the faith. He who overcomes the world through believing that Jesus is the Son of God, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, he will most certainly never be put out of it, I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which descends out of heaven from My God, and My own new name. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” Revelation 3:11-13.

God told them to hold on, don’t let go of the good works you have been doing, don’t let go of your faithfulness and patience in the gospel, don’t let go of my word and name, don’t let go of mercy and love, don’t let go of perseverance and don’t allow the blessings of the open doors take you away from continuing in the what you have been doing in my name and in my house. God told them of a crown that they will receive if they continue in the good godly deeds after the open doors, He promised to make them pillars in His house, He promised to write on them a new name that will descend out of heaven, and He asked them to pay attention, to hear and to do. Did you know God will give you open doors according to His words and promises if you refuse to turn your back on Him despite the pressures from all sides. His words will never fail and everyone who hold onto His words will not fail. For prayers, Click here
