WHERE CAN I RUN TO LORD?

There is no place that you can run to in this life in order to escape the presence of the Almighty God, the spirit of the Lord and the goodness of our Lord Jesus Christ. Whichever place your thoughts may have revealed to you, God is right there waiting to show you His goodness and His mercy. Under the heavens, in every location, language, race and gender, God’s unfailing mercies and unending faithfulness are experienced everyday by people and you will not fail to have the grace to experience the same also even where you are right now. God is willing to be with you right where you are right now to deliver and to bless your life.

God is everywhere under the sun and His presence is also felt everywhere, there is no problem or situation that can prevent God’s presence and God’s amazing love and mercies in the life of a person though the devil will always want you to know that God is not with you and will try with all his might to resist you from enjoying God’s presence the way it is intended to be. The resistance of the devil will not last forever and his bad influence against your dreams will not overrun you. God is with you and will make a way for you soon. 

Running from one location to another, from one job to another, from one country to another, from one profession to another may only give you a temporary relieve, but will never solved a spiritual problem that had been fashioned against you by the devil. True deliverance and freedom from spiritual problems only comes from our Lord Jesus Christ alone through His blood that was shed on the cross for our redemption. Without the intervention of Christ Jesus to lead us out and give us the freedom, our imaginations and efforts will be a waste and in vain.

God knows and commends your righteousness through Jesus Christ despite the persistence of your situation. He knows your desires to escape from the present shame you are experiencing in your own life and in the lives of your children; He knows your desires to escape from the loneliness of being single, barren, homeless, jobless, poor and sick. He knows your desire to live for Him and exalt Him, He knows your prayers and He knows you want to leave this Sodom. You are not alone in this desire and He is not folding His arms to wait until you are destroyed.

Lot was not comfortable and happy dwelling in Sodom and Gomorrah with his family, his soul was not happy with what he saw every day in the streets and with the people, his soul and spirit were tormented every day with what he was hearing, and he actually wanted to leave, but where to run to was a problem for him. Thank God, just like you, he served the God who knows all things and sees our heart desires despite our weaknesses and inabilities. The God who knows what is good for His people and the God who directs the path we should take was with Lot, He is also with you in this situation and will make a way for you as He did for Lot.

“And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds; The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.” 2 Peter 2:6-9

While Lot was increasingly vexed every day, God was making provisions to deliver him, and at the right time, God engaged Abraham to pray for him through the three visiting angels. Thank God for prayers and thank God for thinking good of us even when we are weak and confused. At the right time, God sent those three angels to meet Lot where he was, to give him direction, assist him movement and ensure his safety out of the Sodom and Gomorrah.
