Christ Jesus on His way to Jairus house to heal his daughter as requested, a woman who had been sick for twelve years, a woman who had been seeking healing for twelve years, a woman who had been physically, mentally, and spiritually troubled for twelve years; a woman who had spent all her income and wealth for twelve years seeking healing and peace, a woman who had been to everywhere seeking a solution to her health, seeking peace for her soul, and seeking help from everyone; a woman who had been deceived several times, insulted and humiliated, a woman had lost her physical strength and pride heard the news that Jesus Christ will be coming to her town and most of all He will be passing along the route near to her house, his woman despite her physical weakness, pains, and associated shame spoke courage to herself, spoke hope to her mind, imagined healing for body and situation, this woman decided and made up her mind to do something she had not done before now, summed up courage to press on with the crowd despite her weakness, and she resolved confidently in heart to only touch the edge of his garment, not to talk or make any verbal request.

The kind decisions you make are very important to what you become, what you experience and the outcome of your expectations; decisions gives us direction, gives us hope, and gives us a frame line to our expectations, but not until we actually act on those decisions, we will not see our expectations, we will not our hopes fulfilled and we will not see the will of God fulfilled in our lives. God wants to help us, He wants to promote us, He wants to restore us, and He wants to fulfill His plans and destinies for our lives and He had promised to do so. This is what happened to this woman before her decision, what happened after her decision, and what happened when she acted on her decision that faithful day. “A large crowd followed Jesus and pushed very close around Him. Among them was a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered very much from many doctors and had spent all the money she had, but instead of improving, she was getting worse. When the woman heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she thought if I can just touch his clothes, I will be healed and well. Instantly her bleeding stopped, and she felt in her body that she was healed from her disease.” Mark 5:25-29. Many people who were touching Christ’s body and garment was for fun, but this woman was doing her own with a determination in her heart, with a decision in her mind, with a hope that was going to be successful, and with a confidence of what will happen to her thereafter and she was right. Others were going for fun, she went with a purpose. When you follow Christ Jesus with a purpose, when you pray with a purpose and refuse to fall back because of adversities and delays, you will not be disappointed. This woman was not disappointed.

This is the reaction from Jesus Christ and the response of His disciples, “At once Jesus felt and perceived power go out from Him. So He turned around in the crowd and asked, who touched my clothes? His followers and disciples said, look at how many people are pushing against you and you ask, who touched me? But Jesus continued looking around to see who had touched him.” Mark 5:30-32. When you go to God with a purpose and a determination in your heart and action, there is every assurance that He will answer you and help you as He did to this woman even hen others were also touching and pressing on Him.

The confession of the woman, the confirmation of her action, and her true story came to light and to the hearing of everyone. “The woman, knowing that she was healed, came and fell at Jesus' feet. Shaking with fear, she told him the whole truth. Jesus said to her, dear daughter, you are made well because you believed, your faith has saved and healed you. Go in peace, and be healed of your disease.” Mark 5:33-34. Jesus spoke to her after her action, and after she had received her healing, and He gives her joy and peace thereafter.
