God had given every human being the right to mediate on anything, but the Scriptures gives all those who believe and follow Jesus Christ the guideline on what to meditate on constantly and what to expect from such meditations; the Scripture also gave us guideline on what is profitable to our soul, to our body, to our spirit, to our faith, and what will enable our expectations to come through our meditations and words; it also gave us what not to meditate on or throughout of our hearts as soon as they notice them, it gave us what is destructive to our souls, spirit, body, faith and also our expectations. Through the salvation of our soul, we have the grace to read and understand and meditate rightly on the Holy Scriptures; we have the grace to follow the writings of the Scriptures that will set us free and bless our lives daily, and we have the grace to derive the intended benefits from those writings.

What we give our hearts to meditate often will definitely affect what we speak with our mouth; it will directly affect the kind of words we use to express our feelings in every situation; it will also influence the kind of experience we have and it will definitely affect our overall expectations in life. Our meditations can affect our dreams, our visions, our desires and our effectiveness. It is good to note that a right dream, desire, and vision can be destroyed by what we give our hearts to meditate on concerning those dreams, visions, and desires. When the dream, the vision, and the desires are right, back them up with an appropriate meditation in your heart through the guideline given in the Holy Scriptures. God will never guide you to a wrong direction, or do the wrong thing or waste your resources on things that will never profit you and keep you close and relevant to Him always; the Holy Scriptures will never tell you what is wrong irrespective of the situation at hand, irrespective of your location on earth, your gender, your age, color and your language, and the Holy Ghost will never allow you to remain in any of your previous mistakes indefinitely if you have submitted yourself to follow His ways and direction in all things. There are no vain meditations, what we sow, in our heart we reap in our experiences; every meditation produces a word and yield fruits. When the dream, the vision, the desire, and the heart meditations are right, the expected result will not be different and will not be long to come.

Our heart is storehouse with all manners of things, many have great values to our lives and future and expectations, and many has no value in them; many can take us to great heights and many can bring us down from where we have already attained. What we meditate, we act and speak can help us make a huge difference and help tap into God’s eternal treasure and destinies for our lives. King David in his prayer and request to God mentioned the meditations in his heart and asked God for guidance. David did not just pray and put his request before God, in the prayer, he definitely recognized the power, the purpose, and the impact of the word of God can make, he said; “The law of the Lord is perfect, flawless, restoring and refreshing the soul; the statutes of the Lord are reliable and trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the judgments of the Lord are true, they are righteous altogether. They are more desirable than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb. Moreover, by them Your servant is warned, reminded, illuminated, and instructed; in keeping them there is great reward. Who can understand his errors or omissions? Acquit me of hidden, unconscious, unintended faults. Also keep back Your servant from presumptuous, deliberate, willful sins; let them not rule and have control over me. Then I will be blameless, complete, and I shall be acquitted of great transgression. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable and pleasing in Your sight, O Lord my firm, immovable rock and my Redeemer.’ Psalms 19:7-14. For Prayers Click here
