LOOKING FORWARD AND BEYOND

Post date: Oct 24, 2013 4:24:09 AM

God will not ask you to look back, to look within and still refuse to bring a change in your life. He will never instruct you to carry out an exercise that will not produce tangible results in your life. Whenever God gives an instruction, know that something good is about to follow those who will follow such instructions. It is amazing to note that after Jeremiah had finished looking back and within himself, God asked him in expectation ‘what do you see’. Immediately after, God told him to get ready for something new, something better and far beyond what he saw in his life, and what he previously thought of himself. To look forward to changes that was about to come into his life, into his daily activities, changes that will positively affect his overall mission in life.

“Get yourself ready, stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrify by them, or I will terrify you before them. Today I have made you a fortified city, and iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priest and the people of the land. They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you, declares the LORD” Jeremiah 1:17-19

Looking forward to the days of your glory is where your power to manifest your tomorrow lies, that is what God wants you to do, where He wants you to be, and this is where you will have the joy you expect in yourself. Here, your life is given the meaning it deserves, your dreams are more powerful and real and you can actualize them effectively. Looking forward and beyond the present circumstances in your life of today will enable you to grow stronger in determination and faith, will enable you to overcome the fears and uncertainties of what might happen to you, and this is where you will begin to bear good fruits and receive great reward.

This is also the place you need to be to overcome your frustrations and to defeat the devil, this is where and when God will fully restore you and all that you have lost, where He will rebuilt you and made you very useful in all things according to His words. This is where you will go to bed in peace and wake up the next morning with rejoicing with a song in your mouth, and with a dream that reveals the path to take in your next move to victory.

David looked beyond King Saul, beyond the military wears from Saul, beyond the physiques and military wears of Goliath; he saw something beyond his five stones and his sling, he saw beyond his small size, his lack of military training and saw the hands and the words of God with him and that God gave him the victory that confirmed God’s words and anointing upon his life.

“David said to Saul, Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him. Saul replied, you are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a young man, and he has been a warrior from his youth. But David said to Saul, Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine. Saul said to David, Go, and the Lord be with you.” 1 Samuel 17:32-37

David looked back and remembers the anointing upon his life, he looked back and remembered his victories against the bears and the lions, and he looked back and saw the way God had been leading him; and also looked within and saw God with him, and looked forward to defeating Goliath as he did with the bears and the lions.
