BEYOND REASONING

“And Ruth said, entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:  Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. When she saw that she was steadfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her”. Ruth 1:16-18

God has the very best intent for you that are far beyond all human imaginations and reasoning. The best reasoning and imaginations of men are subject to many conditions being right before they can come true, but the more we wait for the conditions to be right the worst they become; but God’s intent does depend only on His mercy and your decision to believe and steadfastly follow Him despite the prevailing condition. All adverse physical conditions, irrespective age and size cannot prove the purpose of God wrong when you simply follow Him rather than follow the dictates of the conditions.

Never allow your physical condition to tell you of the result of following your God, rather let your belief tell your condition your expected result.

When all hope fails, consistency in following Christ will surely yield its fruits. Let the pains continue, your result, when it finally comes, will erase all pains and unpleasant memory.

Orpah and Ruth; the two women had the same bitter experience, Ruth’s case ended with joy and good posterity beyond her reasoning while Orpah’s case ended in sorrows without any credit and recognition forever. You might the same experience with others but you are never the same.

Both started as married to two brothers, became widows simultaneously, they were urged by their mother in-law to go back and fend for themselves, while Orpah easily accepted to return, Ruth decided not to, but to remain with her mother in-law despite the odds that will follow her.

What made the difference were neither their names nor the name of their mother in-law, but their personal decisions. I will urge you to follow God, follow His words and His ways, His faithful rewards are beyond the best of any human reasoning, intelligence, wealth and knowledge.

God rewarded Ruth by giving her a new husband (Boaz), a son (Obed), and a privileged position in the lineage of David and Christ (she is the great-grandmother of David).

It was not the mother in-law that rewarded her but God though she her decision was to be committed to her mother in-law.

When all hope crumbles, your decision will sustain you. When expected favors are not forth coming as soon as they should, your decision can sustain you. When delays and denials seem unending, your decision can sustain you. When hindrances seem bigger every day, your decision can sustain you.   Keep your decision in Christ alive. Never compare yourself with others though you may be passing through the same situation. If God had permitted it, then He will also distinguish you and give you a privilege position and testimony as He gave Ruth. Jesus said;

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14:1-3

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”. Matthew 11:28-30

The reward of God does not only turn you around it turn situations around also.
