“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive. Jeremiah 29:11-14

People are guided by desires; driven by desires, and compelled by desires in many ways and in many things. Human desires are not always right and not always wrong; they vary from one person to another by knowledge, thoughts, wishes, by what they see and are exposed to in life. But despite all the desires of men, it is certain that God will always make a way for His desires to be fulfilled on earth in the lives of those who look unto Him and trust in Him. Desires are a way of life and all living being has desires in their mind. Many desires had been fulfilled already, many more will be fulfilled and many are yet to be fulfilled, but God will not forgo His plans for humanity and will not discard His desires to bless His children, lift them up from every fall and establish all of them according to His plans for their lives.

The desires of men irrespective of their nature will never change the plans of God; will not change the word of God; will not change the purpose of God for your salvation; will not change any of the promises of God for you, or change anything concerning the future God had promised. God’s desire is that you will do His will, you will fulfill His plans, you will follow Him, keep His ways and His words, and you will be what He had said and destined for your life. God does not desire your destruction, or your shame or your humiliation; He does not desire you to remain isolated or homeless or lonely or jobless or single.

This is His plan, God’s desire, and God’s destiny for you. “Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you because you obey the voice of the Lord your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out. The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways. The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you. The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways. Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you. The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow. And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandment of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them. So you shall not turn aside from the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.” Deuteronomy 28:1-14. For prayers, Click here
