THE DAY GOLIATH FELL (2)

Post date: Oct 24, 2018 3:45:34 AM

Goliath was a trained, qualified, and tested physical warrior in his time and days while David was a small rugged boy trained and anointed warrior by God, and in all situations, circumstances, irrespective of the size of people, the location, and the names of those approved and accepted by men, the physical must always give way for the spiritual to reign because the Almighty God is the absolute and the final commander and controller of all events in all the universe. Goliath was trained by the knowledge and wisdom of men and equipped by men while David was trained and anointed by the power of the Almighty God and equipped with a fearless amount of trust in his God and given the spirit of great courage. The anointing of God will speak for you when and where it is meant to speak, it will not fail you irrespective of the powers standing before you, and God will not withdraw or deny His words concerning you.

The day Goliath fell was a day and a moment of physical and spiritual transition for David; it was a day that David never forgot; a day that David saw what he never believed could happen to him, a day that knew was different from all that David had known and learned before; it was a day David could not explain how, or why, but it was a day that David knew with conviction and all assurance who did it. What happened on that day was beyond the imaginations of men’s best intelligence and reasoning; it was beyond the best preparation anyone could have done for his or herself or for others; it was beyond the physical and spiritual strength of David, it was beyond David’s age capability, and it was beyond his physical size. The fall and death of Goliath were beyond the stone in a sling and it was beyond what anyone could tell without directly giving glory to the Almighty God. It was a day that the word of God concerning David will be confirmed. “So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; it will not return to Me void, useless, without result, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11. By God’s Holy word, He is preparing you for something bigger than you, bigger than yourself, bigger than your strength, and far bigger than what you can ever imagine or predict or know or dream or prepared for.

“When the Philistine looked around and saw David, he derided and disparaged him because he was just a young man, with a ruddy complexion, and a handsome appearance. The Philistine said to David, am I a dog that you come to me with shepherd’s staffs? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. The Philistine also said to David, come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the sky and the beasts of the field. Then David said to the Philistine, you come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted. This day the Lord will hand you over to me, and I will strike you down and cut off your head. And I will give the corpses of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the earth, so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel and that this entire assembly may know that the Lord does not save with the sword or with the spear; for the battle is the Lord’s and He will hand you over to us.” 1 Samuel 17:42-48. The day that Goliath fell was a day never before in the life of David; it was a day no one expected or predicted or imagined. It was a day and a moment set by God to confirm His anointing on David without telling anyone. Did you know your set day and moment will also come? Do you know God had already prepared a date and a moment for you in this very life? That date will not pass by empty, that moment will not come and go without you seeing what David saw and doing what David did and God doing what He did that day before all the children of Israel, their king, and armies to confirm His chosen and anointed servant for what He had planned to happen in his life. That day will not just come and go without God taking all the glory due Him in your life. For prayers Click here
