TOUCH MY MOUNTAINS OH LORD

There are physical and spiritual mountains that we have to contend with every day in order to move from where we are today to where we desire to be or to where God wants us to be in life tomorrow and we must have to overcome them all, not giving up in anyway because of their presence. As physical mountains requires more energy and more logistics to overcome; spiritual mountains requires greater faith, greater patience, more consistency, several selfless painful knee bending prayer times. It also requires a consistent believe, a consistent trust even in times of fear and doubts, it requires a life of hope and our eyes being fixed only on our God, on His promises, on His words, and His goal for our lives instead on self or on human failing alternatives.

Mountains prevents us from seeing what is beyond, seeing the beauty that is far, from seeing and achieving what we desire; it creates a hindrance and presents itself as great obstacle. Mountains are sources of discouragement, of fear, uncertainty, doubts, confusion, exhaustion and they always wants us to give up our very best dreams, our clear visions and our expected desires. But that spiritual mountains can be taken away just as man had been able to overcome all physical mountains on the earth, and God is going to help you as you pray.

Certainly, there are several times in our lives that we will definitely have to call on God in a sincere prayer and ask Him to personally touch our everyday mounting mountains. There is nothing we should stop praying about; there should be no area we keep away from God when we are praying. Let us learn to always express our joy and our pains, our successes and our failures, our struggles and breakthroughs, our peace and our troubles, our frustrations, delays and denials, our knowledge and our wisdom, our plans and our thought in all of our prayers.

While God actually knows all our needs long before we even realize they are coming or their existence, in the lives of our children, spouses, jobs, homes, parents, neighbors and in the lives of our friends, He wants us to present the same to Him in our daily and sincere prayers, giving Him our thoughts, fears and our inabilities. God will not listen to you and leave you helpless. He will not listen to you and mock you thereafter behind; He will not listen to you and forget what you told Him and He will not listen to you and gossip about your situation.

Despite the facts that you have sincerely prayed many days over and over again, you have waited in fasting, have cried and have praised Him. Looking back and looking ahead, there are yet many insurmountable mountains still confronting and hindering your joy, dreams, visions and your sincere expectations. It is a fact that this mountains are beyond your strength but they are not beyond God’s touch. David cried out in one of his prayer request:

“Bow Your heavens, O Lord, and come down; touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. Cast forth lightning and scatter my enemies; send out Your arrows and embarrass and frustrate them. Stretch forth Your hand from above; rescue me and deliver me out of great waters, from the hands of hostile aliens around. Whose mouths speak deceit and whose right hands are right hands raised in taking fraudulent oaths. I will sing a new song to You, O God; upon a harp, an instrument of ten strings, will I offer praises to You. You are He Who gives salvation to kings, Who rescues David His servant from the hurtful sword of evil. Rescue me and deliver me out of the power of hostile alien tribes whose mouths speak deceit and whose right hands are right hands raised in taking fraudulent oaths. When our sons shall be as plants grown large in their youth and our daughters as sculptured corner pillars hewn like those of a palace; When our garners are full, affording all manner of store, and our sheep bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our pastures; When our oxen are well loaded; when there is no invasion and no going forth and no outcry in our streets; Happy and blessed are the people who are in such a case; yes, happy are the people whose God is the Lord.” Psalm 144:5-15.
