IT’S TOUGH LORD, BUT I WILL

There are so many things out there to do and get along in life with others but very few of them will give you a lasting, good and remarkable result. Many things to do to get you accepted by men, but very few to get you accepted by God; every desire has an obstacle, a roadblock and a pitfall, but God has no plan and intent for you to fall or fail. God will bring you to a point of decision through His words that will eventually open the expected door for the expected blessing. Every crown that you desire and deserve carries an enormous responsibility and an associated pain that you must have to overcome to be qualified for the crown.

What will distinguish your today from your yesterday, your person from every other person, your business from every other businesses, your desires from every other persons desires, your knowledge from that of others in life is definitely not the amount of temptation you will encounter in them, everyone had been tempted and are being tempted; not the amount of pains you have endured or taken in life; not the amount of disappointment you have suffered from foes, friends, and business associates; not the amount of sermons you have preached; not the amount of money you have or have given for the work of God; not the number of days you have remained in prayers and fasting; not the religious songs you have composed and sang over the years; not the kind of work you have or your location and profession, but the decision you make and uphold every day till the very day that God will visit you for the reward. That is what will give you the distinction you desire, the position and crown you truly deserve in life.

Every other thing that you will do is good, but decision has the power to distinguish you before God and before man. When God distinguishes you, He will bless and establish you in a way that will glorify His name. Life and success are two things that cannot be separated, while life guarantees success, success does not guarantee life. Success does not come cheap and easy but it is very possible. What God has promised you will not come cheap and easy but it will surely come when you resolve in your heart to stand and keep doing what is right till the day of the appointed blessing. Standing and doing what is right and acceptable till the day of the blessing is definitely where you will meet the toughest challenges in life, and it is your decision at this point that God needs to keep His promise and to fulfill His words in your life forever.

There are advantages of having the knowledge that moves you to be more active and productive in life, but when it causes you to withdraw from being productive and active in things that guarantee the promised blessings from God, it becomes a disadvantage. That is what you are facing right now. Having the knowledge of what is required in life, the toughness, the roughness of the days ahead, and facing the challenge of decision either to quit or to continue. Saying, Lord you know it is tough, it had been tough, and there is no way it is going to be easy. I want to agree with you that it is tough, it had been tough, but the time of tough things is running soon for the time for the promised blessing if you will decide to push towards the crown in the promise.

Jesus Christ knew about the challenges that was to come to Him in Jerusalem, He knew about the betrayal, He knew He will be falsely accused, falsely judge, and falsely sentenced. He knew He will be given the cross to carry, He knew He will be nailed on the cross, He knew He will be deserted and denied by the apostles, He also knew that He must confront the devil directly, defeat and him before receiving and wearing the crown promised by the Father. But despite all that He knew, He decided, I know it will be tough but I will go into Jerusalem to face them. .

“From that time forth Jesus began clearly to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders and the high priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised from death. For it wouldn’t do for a prophet of God to be killed except in Jerusalem” Matthew 16:21; Luke 13:33b. Happy Passion Week. For prayer Click here
