God will never forget that you are human; He will never forget that you are His workmanship; He will never forget that you are His image and likeness and He will never forget that He made a promise to you. He will never forget the promise of obedience; He will never forget the reward of righteousness, and faith, and love, and humility; He will never forget the His power to do all that we will ever ask for in the name of Jesus Christ. He will never forget that sin will be judged, disobedience will be punished, and obedience to His words and instructions will be rewarded. It is certain that irrespective of the delays, the fears, and the humiliations you will suffer, the faithful in Christ Jesus will definitely be remembered, blessed with good things and they will receive the full rewards of their works, of their faithfulness and of their patience.

After years of faithfulness, God spoke to Noah and he had the privilege of hearing and knowing that it was the voice of the Almighty God. Noah was given instructions on what to do to survive the coming storm, the coming rain, and the coming flood. He was told all things on earth will die and will be destroyed, and he knew that the only way he will survive is to follow the instructions, to obey the words, and to keep himself God’s favor always. “And God said unto Noah, the end of all flesh is come before me, for the earth is filled with violence through them, and behold, I will destroy them with the earth. Make thee an ark of gopher wood, rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of, the length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above, and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof, with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it. And behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven, and everything that is in the earth shall die. But with thee will I establish my covenant, and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee. Genesis 6:13-18

Through obedience, Noah followed those instructions and succeeded in building the ark and God rewarded his obedience by ensuring that Noah and everyone and everything in the ark with him did survive the forty days and forty nights nonstop rain despite being under the rain. God will not forget your obedience despite the afflictions, the pains, and the struggles in obeying His words and living as a believer and follower of Jesus Christ in this wicked world. Noah was rewarded for all he did and you will be rewarded also for all you have done. Irrespective of the situations, your location, and the circumstances before you, never give up obedience to God’s words, to following God’s instructions, and never refuse the leading of the Holy Spirit to please God at all times in all things. The reward of obedience is beyond human imaginations and it will come.

After finishing the ark according to God’s instructions, seven days for the rain to start, God spoke again to Noah and instructed him to enter the ark and he did. “For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights, and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.” Genesis 7:4-5. In following God’s instructions, Noah entered the ark and God shut the door behind him and everything that were in the ark. “And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him and the Lord shut him in.” Genesis 7:16. Though the rain lasted for forty days and forty nights as God had said, the flood lasted for almost one year thereafter and Noah was still patiently inside the ark waiting to come out. But despite the long duration of the flood, God did not forget that He had instructed Noah to enter the ark, He did not forget that He had shut them in and they have to come out, He did not forget that He had promised to make a covenant with Noah and ‘God remembered Noah.’ Genesis 8:1.
