I AM YOUR GOD, NOT THEIR GOD

When God personally declares He is your God, certainly He will be leading the way on your behalf, fight all battles on your behalf, He will definitely give you the victory irrespective of the toughness of the situation, irrespective of the numbers of people who are fighting or has vowed to fight against you, to take away that which God had given to you, irrespective of the issues you are going through in life, He will stand with you. God is taking you up personally, He is taking you along personally, He is taking you through all of these things personally, He will ensure that at the end, you will stand strong, ensure that you succeed and ensure that you are restored and blessed. God will always do what men in their very best cannot and will not be able for you.

God made Adam and He stood with Him until he failed in obedience, yet God showed up to help him in his adversity. When God destroyed the first world with flood, He saved Noah, delivered him from the adversity, took him up, and made him great. When men after the generation of Noah failed, God spoke to Abraham with a promise; “I will give you many descendants, and they will become a great nation. I will bless you and make your name famous so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, but I will curse those who curse you. And through you, I will bless all the nations.” Genesis 12:2-3. And God made him as He said, and used him to set an example to the rest of the world, and God did not fail in His promises. God will not fail in yours. Abraham saw the fulfillment of all the promises by believing God, believing His words, walking in faith and by faith thereafter, and remaining in obedience to His principles. When God says it, He will do it; when He commands it, it will be fulfilled, and when He is your God, you will definitely succeed no matter what may stand up against you.

While the old covenant with Abraham is still working, you are embedded in the new covenant with Jesus Christ through salvation and this new covenant in Christ activates all the promises in the old covenant of blessings in Abraham’s covenant in your life. The new covenant with Christ Jesus deliver, defend, strengthen, and protect you from every evil covenant working against your blessings in Abraham’s covenant; the new covenant opens closed doors to your inheritance in heaven and on earth; the new covenants takes away the consequences and hindrances of past and present sins; the new covenant disarms your enemies and their powers; The new covenant in Christ Jesus comes with a mighty grace from God, while the covenant of Abraham comes with faith in God and in His spoken promises in His word. With these in place, there is no way that you will fail. You are children of Abraham through faith and you are children of God through Christ Jesus. The new covenant comes with healing and restoration, it comes with a renewed relationship and outright victory, and God is taking you to the place of the manifestation of the blessings of Abraham’s covenant and the grace for excellence and victory in Christ Jesus.

With the new covenant in Christ Jesus actively working in your life, known and unknown fears will not consume you; afflictions will not destroy you; evil will not overrun you, God said He is your God, He will be your God and He is the Almighty God who never fails. He is your God in this situation and He will show up in your life and in your case. God did save you for His purpose; He has called you out to succeed; He had anointed you to be a success by the leading and the power of His Holy Spirit; the Holy Spirit will guide you, will be your companion, and He will be your instructor. God is with you, and His Holy Spirit is in you. God will lead you through these situations despite the bars of iron raised up by people to keep you sad, frustrated, shameful, and defeated. Your past challenges did not defeat you, and your current challenges and trials will not destroy you. God is with you as a mighty warrior. When God says it, He will do it, when He assigns you a duty, He will help you, when God goes before you, He will smash the gate of iron. Hold your peace at all times, keep hope alive.
