"LORD, I HAVE NO DREAM, NO VISION, ONLY DESIRE (1)"

Post date: Jul 3, 2018 4:40:55 AM

You have heard, read, and know so much about dreams and visions and the importance of each of them in one's life yet you have waited this long and have desired to have them but none is forthcoming, yet God can still bless you without a dream or a vision; you can still become great and productive and happy without one; you can still fulfill your destined destiny without them and you can still please God and become effective in His hands without them. I want you to know that dreams and visions are good but God has not tied your future to your dreams and visions, or to any form of a prophetic word from anyone. He can still use you greatly without one and He will still bless you and keep you safe and secure without them. Without dreams and visions, God can still work with your desires to please Him and be His servant, He can still use you, sustain you, guide you, and lead and direct you to the place of your destiny safely.

When your desires are right and are in good standing with the word of God and with His plans and desires for your life. He will help you fulfill them and He will even lift you up above others and give you a foundation that dreams and visions cannot build for anyone. Joshua was not asked to prepare himself for the office of leadership, he was asked to take over the command and lead immediately. Do not be frustrated when you have no dream or vision; do not feel God is not with you or He does not desire to lead and guide you and do not feel you will never make it through in the assignment God is calling you to undertake. Joshua was a huge success; a true leader and a true servant of the Almighty God.

When Joshua had no dream for himself, asked nothing special from God or from Moses and only desiring to serve Moses and be faithful to him at all times, God was watching him and hatching a plan for him that will amaze and make the dreamers and the visioner around him insignificant and small. His desires were right and his ways were pleasing to God and after the death of Moses His servant, God made know to Joshua he will lead Israel to the promised land and there was no contest thereafter. “Now it happened after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ servant saying, Moses My servant is dead; now, therefore, arise to take his place, cross over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel. I have given you every place on which the sole of your foot treads, just as I promised to Moses. From the wilderness of Arabia in the south and this Lebanon in the north, even as far as the great river, the river Euphrates in the east, all the land of the Hittites, and as far as the Great Mediterranean Sea toward the west shall be your territory. No man will be able to stand before you to oppose you as long as you live. Just as I was present with Moses, so will I be with you; I will not fail you or abandon you.” Joshua 1:1-5

When Joshus knew nothing and displayed no knowledge about the plans of God concerning His ways of fulfilling His promises, God handed the entire destiny of the children of Israel into his hands after the death of Moses; when Joshua knew nothing about navigation of routes and about leadership, God gave him a promise and a word; when Joshua knew nothing about fighting, God gave him the mandate to succeed, and when Joshua knew nothing about succession, ranking in the military God raise him up to take the place of leader after Moses. Did you know God can make you what He desires without giving you a dream, or a vision or a prophetic word from anyone? I believe He can and He will. The God of Joshua is still alive and active, lifting up one and taking out the others. He is still rewarding humility and faithfulness and obedience; He is still lifting up those who have fallen, those without hope, those without dreams, those without visions, and those who place their hope in Him and trust in His ways and ability. I am looking forward to God’s reward for faithfulness rather than the rewards of a dream. For prayers Click here
